Kondisi ini disebabkan oleh kesulitan siswa dalam menemukan dan mengembangkan ide cerita, menuangkan kreativitas mereka ke dalam bentuk tulisan, serta kurang mampu dalam menulis cerpen dengan memperhatikan struktur, unsur-unsur, dan kebahasaan cerpen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan keefektifan model ARIAS berbantuan aplikasi Story Plotter dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen siswa kelas XI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI-10 dan XI-12. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes awal, tes akhir, observasi, dan angket siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai prates kelas eksperimen adalah 65, sedangkan kelas kontrol adalah 64. Rata-rata nilai pascates kelas eksperimen adalah 83, sedangkan kelas kontrol adalah 76. Kemudian, hasil uji Independent Sample Ttest menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel (t0 = 6.332 > t0,05 (66) = 1,997), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menulis teks cerpen antara siswa di kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkan model ARIAS berbantuan aplikasi Story Plotter dan siswa di kelas kontrol setelah diterapkan model terlangsung. This study was motivated by students’ difficulties in expressing ideas and developing storylines. These difficulties include finding and developing ideas, translating creativity into writing, and composing short stories with proper structure, elements, and language features. This research aims to test the effectiveness of the ARIAS model supported by the Story Plotter application in teaching short story writing to Grade XI students. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design, involving classes XI-10 and XI-12. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results show that the average pre-test score in the experimental class was 65 and 64 in the control class. The average post-test score was 83 in the experimental class and 76 in the control class. The Independent Sample T-test results indicate tcount > ttable (t₀ = 6.332 > t₀.₀₅(66) = 1.997), meaning Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.
