Gangguan belajar tersebut dapat menganggu alur belajar normal dan membuat penderita disleksia menjadi inferior karena tertinggal dari teman sebayanya. Intervensi Orton-gillingham merupakan salah satu jenis intervensi yang dapat membantu penderita disleksia mengatasi gangguan belajar yang dialami. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas intervensi Orton-gillingham terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa disleksia di sekolah dasar inklusi. Penelitian ini mengadopsi desain penelitian subjek tunggal dengan jenis rancangan A-B-A. Penelitian dilakukan disalah satu Sekolah dasar inklusi yang ada di Kota Payakumbuh, selama empat belas sesi dari tanggal 16 Maret sampai dengan 29 Maret 2025, dengan penjabaran sebagai berikut: empat sesi untuk fase dasar awal, enam sesi untuk fase intervensi dan emapat sesi untuk fase dasar akhir. Hasil penelitian ini adalah intervensi Orton-gillingham terbukti efektiv meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa disleksi, meskipun pada pelaksanannya sempat mengalami kenaikan dan penurunan. Kendati demikian, penurunan kemampuan membaca siswa masih dalam kategori normal karena beberapa faktor internal dan eksternal yang terjadi selama penelitian. Penelitian ini harus dilakukan secara berkesinambungan kepada siswa disleksia agar gangguan belajar yang dialami dapat diatasi. Dyslexia is a specific learning disorder that originates from abnormalities in the left brain's nervous system. This learning disorder can disrupt the normal learning process and make dyslexia sufferers feel inferior because they lag behind their peers. The Orton-gillingham intervention is one type of intervention that can help people with dyslexia overcome their learning difficulties. The purpose of this study was to analyse and describe the effectiveness of the Orton-gillingham intervention in improving the early reading skills of dyslexic students in inclusive primary schools. This study adopted a single-subject research design with an A-B-A design. The study was conducted at an inclusive primary school in Payakumbuh City, during fourteen sessions from 16 March to 29 March 2025, with the following breakdown: four sessions for the initial baseline phase, six sessions for the intervention phase, and four sessions for the final baseline phase. The results of this study show that the Orton-gillingham intervention was proven to be effective in improving the early reading skills of dyslexic students, even though there were ups and downs during its implementation. However, the decline in students' reading skills was still within the normal range due to several internal and external factors that occurred during the study.
