Beberapa penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas menggambar manual efektif dalam mengembangkan kecerdasan visual spasial, yang memiliki peranan penting dalam bidang teknik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap karakteristik kecerdasan visual-spasial dalam pembelajaran gambar teknik metode manual. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan sampel sebanyak 181 mahasiswa aktif Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia yang telah menempuh mata kuliah gambar teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa terhadap seluruh karakteristik kecerdasan visual-spasial dalam pembelajaran gambar teknik manual berada pada kategori positif, dengan rata-rata skor keseluruhan sebesar 3,12. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa menilai bahwa karakteristik kecerdasan visual-spasial telah terintegrasi dalam proses pembelajaran gambar teknik manual.    Digitalization has significantly transformed traditional methods into digital ones; however, manual technical drawing instruction remains prevalent and dominant in the early stages of the Building Engineering Education Program. This raises questions about its advantages and benefits. Several studies have shown that manual drawing activities are effective in developing visual-spatial intelligence, which plays a crucial role in the field of engineering. This study aims to describe students' perceptions of the characteristics of visual-spatial intelligence in manual technical drawing instruction. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach, with a sample of 181 active students in the Building Engineering Education Program at the University of Education Indonesia who have taken the technical drawing course. The results of the study indicate that students' perceptions of all characteristics of visual-spatial intelligence in manual technical drawing learning fall into the positive category, with an overall average score of 3.12. These results indicate that the majority of students believe that visual-spatial intelligence characteristics have been integrated into the manual technical drawing learning process.
