Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik tahun 2023, angka perkawinan anak di Indonesia masih cukup tinggi. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan komunikasi di kalangan remaja, khususnya di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil implementasi video edukasi keterampilan komunikasi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan pencegahan perkawinan anak pada peserta didik SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 32 peserta didik kelas VII-F SMP Negeri 27 Bandung. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda yang diberikan sebelum (pre-test) dan sesudah (post-test) intervensi video edukasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan peserta didik, dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 76,8 dan post-test sebesar 89. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai signifikansi < 0,05 yang menandakan perbedaan bermakna antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,5690 termasuk kategori cukup efektif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah implementasi video edukasi keterampilan komunikasi efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta didik terkait pencegahan perkawinan anak, serta dapat menjadi strategi pembelajaran yang relevan untuk diterapkan di sekolah menengah pertama. Child marriage remains a serious issue in Indonesia, with negative consequences for the physical, mental, and social development of adolescents. According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in 2023, the rate of child marriage in Indonesia is still relatively high. One of the contributing factors is the lack of knowledge and communication skills among adolescents, especially at the junior high school level. This study aims to determine the results of implementing educational videos on communication skills to increase knowledge about child marriage prevention among junior high school students. The research employed a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 32 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 27 Bandung. The research instrument was a multiple-choice test administered before (pre-test) and after (post-test) the educational video intervention. The results showed a significant increase in students’ knowledge, with an average pre-test score of 76.8 and a post-test score of 89. The Wilcoxon test indicated a significance value of < 0.05, demonstrating a meaningful difference before and after the intervention. The average N-Gain score was 0.5690, categorized as moderately effective.
