Minat siswa dipandang sebagai salah satu faktor kunci yang dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan, motivasi, serta prestasi akademik, khususnya di lingkungan pendidikan kejuruan yang menekankan pada keseimbangan teori dan praktik. Tujuan utama penelitian adalah menganalisis secara empiris pengaruh minat siswa sebagai variabel independen terhadap hasil belajar sebagai variabel dependen, sehingga dapat memberikan wawasan penting dalam pengembangan kurikulum dan strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif asosiatif, dengan data dikumpulkan dari 65 siswa kelas X DPIB. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner berskala Likert digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat minat siswa, sedangkan dokumentasi nilai Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) dijadikan indikator hasil belajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji regresi linear sederhana melalui software SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dengan persamaan regresi: Ŷ = 36,916 + 0,262X yang berarti setiap peningkatan satu unit minat siswa mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar sebesar 0,262 poin. Mayoritas siswa menunjukkan tingkat minat tinggi, namun hasil belajar masih tergolong kurang. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa minat berperan penting dalam mendorong pencapaian akademik. Oleh karena itu, direkomendasikan integrasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek, penerapan teknologi BIM, serta pelibatan praktisi industri, sehingga motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa dapat ditingkatkan secara optimal. This study aims to explore in depth the effect of students’ interest in choosing the expertise competency of Building Information Modeling and Design (DPIB) on learning outcomes in the subject of Basic Building Construction (DKB) at SMKN 5 Bandung. Students’ interest is considered a key factor that can enhance engagement, motivation, and academic achievement, particularly in vocational education which emphasizes a balance between theory and practice. The main objective of this research is to empirically analyze the effect of students’ interest as the independent variable on learning outcomes as the dependent variable, thereby providing important insights for the development of more effective curriculum and learning strategies. This research employed an associative quantitative approach, with data collected from 65 tenth-grade DPIB students. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used to measure students’ interest, while documentation of the Final Semester Examination (PAS) scores was used as an indicator of learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression with SPSS software. The results revealed a positive and significant effect with the regression equation: Ŷ = 36.916 + 0.262X, indicating that each one-unit increase in students’ interest can improve learning outcomes by 0.262 points. The majority of students demonstrated a high level of interest, although their learning outcomes were still relatively low. These findings confirm the important role of interest in driving academic achievement.
