Dance Learning, Digital Technology, Verbal Communication, Nonverbal Communication, Junior High School Students. note: ID SINTA Dosen Pembimbing Trianti Nugraheni: 5995195 Ace Iwan Suryawan: 6681510 abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pembelajaran tari berbasis digital dalam meningkatkan kompetensi komunikasi siswa, baik verbal maupun nonverbal, di SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh perkembangan teknologi digital yang pesat, serta kebutuhan akan metode pembelajaran seni tari yang lebih fleksibel, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik generasi saat ini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest, melibatkan siswa kelas VII F sebagai partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kompetensi komunikasi dan dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kompetensi komunikasi siswa setelah penerapan pembelajaran tari berbasis digital. Proses pembelajaran yang melibatkan media seperti video tutorial, platform daring, dan diskusi kelompok terbukti mampu merangsang interaksi, ekspresi, serta pemahaman siswa terhadap pesan-pesan dalam gerakan tari. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi teknologi digital secara berkelanjutan dalam pembelajaran seni, khususnya untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21, seperti berpikir kritis, komunikasi efektif, dan kolaborasi. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital-based dance learning in enhancing students' communication competencies—both verbal and nonverbal—at SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. The background of the research is grounded in the rapid advancement of digital technology and the growing need for more flexible, interactive, and generation-appropriate approaches to dance education. A quantitative approach was employed using a one-group pretest-posttest design, with Grade VII F students serving as participants. Data were collected through a communication competency test and analyzed using statistical methods. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ communication competencies following the implementation of digital-based dance learning. The learning process, which utilized media such as video tutorials, online platforms, and group discussions, effectively stimulated student interaction, self-expression, and comprehension of the messages conveyed through dance movements.
