Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya stimulasi motorik halus dalam proses tumbuh kembang anak, khususnya 5-6 tahun, serta rendahnya variasi media pembelajjaran yang digunakan oleh guru dilapangan. Media loose part, yang terdiri dari bahan-bahan lepas seperti benda alam, plastic, dan bekas kemasan, dinilai mampu memberikan ruang eksplorasi kreatif yang mendorong perkembangan motorik halus anak secara optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen berupa desain nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 anak usia 5–6 tahun yang terbagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan berupa kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan media loose part, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan observasi dengan instrumen berbentuk lembar checklist yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan motorik halus anak setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan media loose part dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney membuktikan bahwa kelompok eksperimen memperoleh skor kemampuan motorik halus yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media loose part terbukti memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia dini, serta layak dijadikan alternatif inovatif dalam proses pembelajaran di lembaga PAUD. This study aims to determine the effect of using loose part media on the fine motor development of early childhood. The background of this study is based on the importance of fine motor stimulation in the process of child growth and development, especially 5-6 years old, as well as the low variety of learning media used by teachers in the field. Loose part media, which consists of loose materials such as natural objects, plastic, and used packaging, is considered capable of providing a creative exploration space that encourages optimal development of children's fine motor skills. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects were 20 children aged 5-6 years who were divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group was given treatment in the form of learning activities using loose part media, while the control group used conventional methods. Data collection techniques used tests and observations with instruments in the form of validated checklist sheets. The results showed that there was a significant increase in children's fine motor skills after participating in learning with loose part media compared to the control group. Data analysis using the Mann-Whitney test proved that the experimental group achieved higher fine motor skill scores than the control group.
