Karya ini tidak hanya menampilkan estetika gerak dan keindahan visual, tetapi juga mengandung nilai-nilai simbolik dan re-fleksi sosial melalui penggunaan properti seperti boboko logor (bolor), bonge, dan langgir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan pen-dekatan kualitatif, melalui observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dokumen-tasi, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ide penciptaan tari ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keprihatinan seniman terhadap kondisi masyarakat selama pandemi. Koreografi dalam tari ini disusun berdasarkan struktur dramatik dan gerak yang menggabungkan unsur tradisi Sunda dan Betawi, serta melibat-kan beberapa kelompok penari dengan fungsi dan simbolisasi berbeda. Tata rias dan busana yang digunakan turut memperkuat karakter dan makna tiap tokoh da-lam pertunjukan tari. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi ter-hadap kajian tari kreasi dan pelestarian budaya lokal, serta menginspirasi sen-iman dalam menciptakan karya yang responsif terhadap isu-isu sosial.\r\n\r\nThis research aims to describe in detail the creation process, choreographic structure, and makeup and costume design of the dance Masrik Yugja, a creative dance work by Ade Suarsa, developed at Sanggar Etnika Daya Sora in East Bo-gor City. Masrik Yugja is a contemporary dance inspired by the social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. More than a visual performance, this work carries deep symbolic meaning and social reflection through the use of unique properties such as boboko (bolor), bonge, and langgir. This study employs a descriptive-analytic method with a qualitative approach, utilizing direct observation, in-depth inter-views, documentation, and literature review. The findings reveal that the dance was created from the artist’s concern over society’s struggles during the pandem-ic. The choreography is structured through dramatic sequencing and integrates movements from Sundanese and Betawi traditions. It involves several groups of dancers, each with distinct symbolic roles. The makeup and costume elements reinforce character portrayal and thematic messages within the performance.
