Pada kenyataannya, masih banyak siswa SMP yang memiliki motivasi belajar yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Kartika XIX-2 Bandung sebagai landasan penyusunan rancangan layanan dasar bimbingan dan konseling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif melalui studi sensus terhadap 87 siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket yang mengukur delapan aspek motivasi belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan profil motivasi belajar siswa secara umum berada pada kategori sedang sebesar 68%.. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disusun sebuah rancangan layanan dasar yang berfokus pada upaya mengoptimalkan motivasi belajar siswa. : Learning motivation is crucial for students because it is closely related to good learning outcomes. In reality, many junior high school students still have low learning motivation. This study aims to describe the learning motivation of 7th grade students at Kartika XIX-2 Junior High School, Bandung, as a basis for developing a basic guidance and counseling service design. This study used a quantitative descriptive method through a census study of 87 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire measuring eight aspects of learning motivation. The results showed that 68% of students' learning motivation profiles were generally in the moderate category.
