Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa yang disebabkan oleh dominasi metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas X DPIB 1 sebagai kelompok kontrol dan X DPIB 2 sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 69 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian mencakup lembar observasi dan angket motivasi belajar. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model Reciprocal Teaching mencapai skor 90% yang dikategorikan sangat baik. Data angket menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa tergolong tinggi dengan rata rata sebesar 79,5%. Nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan dari 69 menjadi 91, sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat dari 63 menjadi 74. Berdasarkan perhitungan N-Gain, kelas eksperimen memperoleh skor 0,710 (kategori tinggi), sementara kelas kontrol memperoleh 0,290 (kategori rendah). Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai sebesar 6,71 untuk kelas eksperimen dan 3,05 untuk kelas kontrol. Perbedaan peningkatan yang signifikan antara kedua kelas menunjukkan bahwa model Reciprocal Teaching lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar. This study aims to evaluate the implementing of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model in improving student learning motivation in the subject of Technical Mechanics at SMK Negeri 7 Baleendah. The background of this study stems from low student learning motivation, which is caused by the dominance of conventional learning methods that do not actively involve students in the teaching and learning process. This study adopts a quasi-experimental approach with an unequal control group design. The research subjects consisted of students from class X DPIB 1, who served as the control group, and students from class X DPIB 2, who served as the experimental group. The sample size in this study was 69 students. The instruments used included observation sheets and learning motivation questionnaires. The observation results showed that the implementation of the Reciprocal Teaching model achieved a score of 90%, which was categorized as very good. Data from the questionnaire showed that student learning motivation was high, with an average of 79.5%. The average pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental class increased from 69 to 91, while the control class increased from 63 to 74. Based on the N-Gain calculation, the experimental class obtained a score of 0.710 (high category), while the control class obtained a score of 0.290 (low category). The t-test results showed a value of 6.71 for the experimental class and 3.05 for the control class.
