Salah satu faktor yang diduga berperan dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar adalah pola pikir berkembang atau growth mindset, dimana siswa dengan pola pikir ini cenderung lebih fokus pada proses, usaha, dan pengembangan diri selama mengikuti pembelajaran sehingga tingkat learning engagement siswa lebih tinggi. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini yaitu masih terdapat siswa yang memiliki learning engagement rendah di SMK yang menunjukkan jika keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran belum menyeluruh. Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai pengaruh growth mindset terhadap learning engagement di SMKN 6 Bandung. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif asosiatif, dimana populasi yang dilibatkan adalah siswa kelas X, XI, dan XII Program Keahlian DPIB di SMKN 6 Bandung dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 223 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada responden, kemudian dihitung menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran umum dari growth mindset memiliki Tingkat Capaian Responden (TCR) dengan kategori “Sangat Tinggi”, lalu gambaran umum learning engagement berada pada kategori “Tinggi”. Selain itu, ditemukan hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari growth mindset terhadap learning engagement siswa di SMKN 6 Bandung. Pola pikir berkembang berperan dalam membangkitkan motivasi intrinsik siswa, sehingga mendorong mereka untuk terlibat secara lebih aktif dan konsisten dalam keterlibatan siswa pada proses pembelajaran. Namun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa celah yang dapat ditingkatkan, salah satunya melalui pengembangan metode pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif guna meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif. One factor that is thought to play a role in increasing learning engagement is a growth mindset, where students with this mindset tend to focus more on the process, effort, and self-development during learning, resulting in higher levels of student learning engagement. The problem behind this study is that there are still students with low learning engagement in vocational schools, indicating that student involvement in learning is not yet comprehensive. This study examines the effect of a growth mindset on learning engagement at SMKN 6 Bandung. The research technique used is a quantitative approach with an associative descriptive method, where the population involved consists of students in grades X, XI, and XII of the DPIB Vocational Program at SMKN 6 Bandung, with a sample size of 223 individuals. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires distributed to respondents, then calculated using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. The results showed that the general description of growth mindset had a Respondent Achievement Level (RAL) in the “Very High” category, while the general description of learning engagement was in the “High” category. Additionally, it was found that there was a significant influence of growth mindset on student learning engagement at SMKN 6 Bandung. A growth mindset plays a role in stimulating students' intrinsic motivation, thereby encouraging them to be more actively and consistently involved in the learning process.
