Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap seni tradisional karena metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang menarik serta keterbatasan media yang sesuai dengan gaya belajar generasi digital. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model Borg & Gall yang dibatasi hingga tahap uji coba terbatas. Tahapan meliputi identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perancangan produk, validasi ahli, revisi desain, dan uji coba kelompok kecil. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi, angket, dan tes pretest‑posttest untuk mengukur pemahaman, keterampilan, dan sikap apresiatif siswa. Hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor 94% dan ahli media 92%, menunjukkan media layak digunakan. Uji coba terhadap 35 siswa menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan nilai rata‑rata pretest 65,71 dan posttest 82,14, dengan nilai N‑Gain sebesar 0,49 (kategori sedang). Hasil angket menunjukkan 90% siswa merasa media ini mempermudah pemahaman gerak, musik, dan filosofi Ibing Pencak Tepak Paleredan serta meningkatkan minat belajar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis Android yang dikembangkan efektif, menarik, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa, sekaligus berperan sebagai sarana pelestarian budaya lokal melalui pendekatan teknologi yang inovatif. This study aims to develop an Android‑based learning media for Ibing Pencak Tepak Paleredan to enhance seventh‑grade students’ appreciation at SMP Yayasan Atikan Sunda. The background of this research lies in students’ low interest and understanding of traditional arts due to conventional learning methods and the lack of media aligned with digital learning styles. The study employed Research and Development (R&D) with Borg & Gall’s model limited to small‑scale trials. The stages included problem identification, data collection, product design, expert validation, design revision, and small‑group testing. Data were collected using observation sheets, questionnaires, and pretest‑posttest to assess students’ understanding, skills, and appreciation. The validation results scored 94% from material experts and 92% from media experts, indicating the media’s feasibility. Trials on 35 students showed a significant improvement, with an average pretest score of 65.71 and posttest of 82.14, resulting in an N‑Gain of 0.49 (moderate category). Questionnaire responses revealed that 90% of students found the media helpful in understanding movements, music, and philosophy of Ibing Pencak Tepak Paleredan while increasing learning interest. This research concludes that the developed Android‑based learning media is effective, engaging, and relevant to students’ needs, while serving as an innovative technological approach to preserve local cultural heritage.
