Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data mengenai penerapan metode demonstrasi pada pelatihan menjahit dalam upaya peningkatan kompetensi peserta di UPTD Latihan Kerja Provinsi Banten. Kajian teori yang digunakan adalah teori belajar sosial konstruktivis, teori pelatihan menjahit, teori andragogi, teori demonstrasi dan teori keterampilan psikomotorik. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode demonstrasi dilakukan melalui tahap perencanaan, yang meliputi penentuan tujuan, pemilihan materi, penentuan jumlah peserta, serta persiapan alat, tempat, dan bahan. Pada tahap pelaksanaan, instruktur memberikan penjelasan mengenai bahan demonstrasi, menggambarkan proses hingga hasil akhir, menyesuaikan dengan keterampilan peserta, serta memandu praktik menggunakan mesin jahit dan pembuatan pola pakaian. Secara keseluruhan, pelaksanaan metode demonstrasi berjalan baik dan terbukti mampu meningkatkan kompetensi peserta. Instruktur berperan aktif sebagai informator, fasilitator, motivator, dan evaluator selama proses pelatihan. Hasil Penerapan metode ini juga mampu meningkatkan keterampilan psikomotorik peserta, seperti kemampuan imitasi, manipulasi, presisi, hingga artikulasi. Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan memiliki kesiapan yang lebih baik untuk memasuki dunia kerja maupun memulai usaha mandiri di bidang menjahit.     This research is motivated by the low condition of human resources and high unemployment which causes the need for competency-based training such as sewing training. This study aims to obtain data on the application of demonstration methods in sewing training in an effort to improve the competency of participants at the Banten Provincial Job Training UPTD. The theoretical studies used are constructivist social learning theory, training theory, sewing training theory, and psychomotor skills theory. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study show that the application of the demonstration method is carried out through the planning stage, which includes determining the objectives, selecting materials, determining the number of participants, and preparing tools, places, and materials. At the implementation stage, the instructor provides an explanation of the demonstration materials, describes the process to the final result, adjusts to the participants' skills, and guides the practice of using a sewing machine and making clothing patterns. Overall, the implementation of the demonstration method went well and was proven to be able to improve the competence of participants. Instructors play an active role as informants, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators during the training process. The results of the application of this method are also able to improve the psychomotor skills of the participants, such as the ability to imitate, manipulate, precision, and articulate. The implications of the study show that trainees have better readiness to enter the world of work or start an independent business in the field of sewing.
