Pada masa ini, remaja dituntut untuk mampu beradaptasi dengan lingkungan, menjalin relasi yang sehat, serta mengelola emosi agar tumbuh menjadi individu yang matang. Namun, kenyataannya tidak semua remaja dapat melewati fase dengan baik. Sebagian menghadapi hambatan dalam membangun hubungan bermakna, merasa terisolasi, atau kurang memperoleh dukungan dari keluarga maupun teman sebaya. Kondisi tersebut dapat memicu perasaan kesepian yang mendalam. Kesepian dipahami sebagai ketidaksesuaian antara harapan dan kenyataan dalam hubungan sosial. Jika berlangsung terus-menerus, hal ini dapat berdampak negatif terhadap perilaku siswa, menurunkan motivasi belajar, dan menghambat perkembangan diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan tujuan memahami pengalaman kesepian remaja di SMPN 11 Bandung, mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab, serta merancang intervensi konseling kognitif perilaku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesepian dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya dukungan emosional, minimnya hubungan sosial bermakna, rasa bosan, dan perasaan tidak diakui. Faktor keluarga, seperti perceraian maupun kehilangan orang tua, memperburuk keadaan. Dampaknya tampak pada menurunnya motivasi, prestasi akademik, dan kecenderungan menarik diri. Rekomendasi menekankan pentingnya peran aktif guru BK melalui konseling kognitif perilaku untuk membantu remaja mengenali, mengelola, serta mengubah pola pikir dan perilaku tidak adaptif. Selain itu, penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk mengembangkan model konseling yang lebih komprehensif bagi kesejahteraan psikologis remaja. Adolescence is a dynamic phase that requires the balanced development of social and emotional skills. At this stage, adolescents are expected to adapt to their environment, build healthy relationships, and manage emotions to grow into mature individuals. However, not all adolescents are able to pass through this stage successfully. Some face difficulties in establishing meaningful connections, feel isolated, or lack support from family and peers. Such conditions often trigger a deep sense of loneliness. Loneliness is understood as a discrepancy between expectations and reality in social relationships. When prolonged, it may negatively affect students’ behavior, reduce learning motivation, and hinder personal development. This study employed a case study method aimed at understanding the experiences of lonely adolescents at SMPN 11 Bandung, identifying causal factors, and designing a cognitive-behavioral counseling intervention. Findings revealed that loneliness was influenced by limited emotional support, lack of meaningful social relationships, boredom, and feelings of being unacknowledged. Family conditions such as divorce and parental loss further worsened the situation. The impact appeared in decreased motivation, lower academic achievement, and a tendency to withdraw socially. The study recommends an active role of school counselors through cognitive-behavioral counseling to help adolescents recognize, manage, and change maladaptive thoughts and behaviors.
