Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya ketersediaan bahan ajar yang mengintegrasikan capaian pembelajaran dengan penguatan literasi emosi, serta kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran digital yang menarik dan interaktif. Metode yang digunakan adalah Educational Design Research (EDR) yang meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu analisis dan eksplorasi, perancangan dan konstruksi, serta evaluasi dan refleksi. Pada tahap analisis, dilakukan identifikasi kebutuhan melalui wawancara dengan pendidik, observasi pembelajaran, studi dokumen, serta analisis kemampuan literasi emosi peserta didik. Tahap perancangan mencakup penyusunan materi teks eksplanasi yang terintegrasi dengan lima aspek literasi emosi menurut Steiner, perancangan desain visual, dan pemilihan media pendukung. Tahap pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Canva dan Flip PDF Professional. Produk divalidasi oleh ahli materi ahli pedagogik, dan ahli bahan ajar. Tahap implementasi melibatkan pendidik serta peserta didik kelas V SD di dua sekolah yang berada di Kota Tasikmalaya. Hasil validasi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan dengan persentase 98,18% dari ahli materi, 84,44% dari ahli pedagogik, dan 87,27% dari ahli bahan ajar. Uji respons pendidik dan peserta didik juga menunjukkan kategori Sangat Layak dan Sangat Praktis dengan persentase di atas 88%. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa flipbook yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran teks eksplanasi bermuatan literasi emosi, mampu membuat pembelajaran lebih menarik, membantu pemahaman materi, dan mendukung perkembangan keterampilan sosial-emosional peserta didik. This study aims to develop flipbook-based teaching materials for explanatory text learning integrated with emotional literacy for fifth-grade elementary school students. The background of this research is based on the limited availability of teaching materials that integrate learning outcomes with emotional literacy reinforcement, as well as the need for engaging and interactive digital learning media. The method used is Educational Design Research (EDR), which consists of three stages: analysis and exploration, design and construction, and evaluation and reflection. In the analysis stage, needs identification was carried out through interviews with teachers, classroom observations, document analysis, and assessment of students’ emotional literacy skills. The design stage included preparing explanatory text material integrated with the five aspects of emotional literacy according to Steiner, designing visual layouts, and selecting supporting media. The development stage was carried out using Canva and Flip PDF Professional, complemented with illustrations, videos, audio, concept maps, and a glossary. The product was validated by language experts, pedagogical experts, and teaching material experts. The implementation stage involved teachers and fifth-grade students from two elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City. Validation results showed high feasibility levels with percentages of 98.18% from the language expert, 84.44% from the pedagogical expert, and 87.27% from the teaching material expert. Teacher and student response tests also indicated Highly Feasible and Highly Practical categories, with percentages above 88%.
