Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut melalui penelitian ini model Non-Directive Learning berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka digunakan sebagai alternatif solusi terhadap permasalahan yang diidentifikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan temuan hasil penerapan model Non-Directive Learning dalam pembelajaran tari berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka untuk meningkatkan kemandirian peserta didik. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis Pre-Experimental dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 41 peserta didik kelas VIII A yang terdiri dari 21 laki-laki dan 20 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara kuisioner, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas untuk instrumen penelitian, uji analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa penelitian berhasil yakni model Non-Directive Learning memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kemandirian peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis (Paired Sample t-Test), diperoleh nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 66 meningkat menjadi 80 pada saat posttest menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan kemandirian yang diakibatkan oleh penerapan model Non-Directive Learning. Secara keseluruhan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model Non-Directive Learning dapat meningkatkan kemandirian peserta didik. The main problem addressed in this study is the low level of student independence at SMP Pasundan 3 Bandung. To respond to this issue, the Non-Directive Learning model based on the Merdeka Curriculum is applied as an alternative solution to the identified problem. The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Non-Directive Learning model in dance learning, based on the Merdeka Curriculum, in enhancing students’ independence. This study employs a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design, specifically the one-group pretest-posttest model. The participants consist of 41 eighth-grade students from class VIII A, including 21 male and 20 female students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis involved instrument validity and reliability testing, descriptive statistical analysis, normality testing, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that the Non-Directive Learning model has a positive impact on improving students’ independence. Based on the results of the Paired Sample t-Test, the significance value obtained was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This confirms a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The average pretest score of 66 increased to 80 in the posttest, indicating an improvement in student independence as a result of implementing the Non-Directive Learning model.
