Masalah yang ditemukan dalam pembelajaran tari yaitu rendahnya keterampilan praktik siswa, yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman guru terhadap strategi pembelajaran kolaboratif dan masih digunakannya metode konvensional, sehingga siswa kesulitan untuk memahami materi. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelaksanaan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share guna meningkatkan keterampilan menari siswa. Peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen, dengan pola satu kelas pretest-posttest serta pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan peneliti dengan cara observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Jenis sampelnya yaitu purposive sampling, yang dipilih menggunakan cara non- probability sampling, subjeknya yakni siswa kelas VII-E SMPN 29 Bandung. Analisisnya menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan untuk menilai perbedaan hasil pretest serta posttest-nya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan keterampilan menari siswa sesudah digunakannya pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share, dibuktikan dari peningkatan rerata dari nilai pretest serta posttest pada lima indikator keterampilan menari yaitu imitasi, manipulasi, presisi, artikulasi, dan naturalisasi. Hasil yang diperoleh thitung > ttabel dengan 37,99 > 1,696 berarti bahwa hipotesis Ha yang telah peneliti rumuskan diterima. Terbukti bahwa pembelajaran berbasis kerjasama, think pair share dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menari siswa SMP. Dancing skills are an essential part of assessing students' learning competencies in the psychomotor domain of cultural arts education. The issue identified in dance learning is the low level of students' practical skills, which is caused by teachers' limited understanding of collaborative learning strategies and the continued use of conventional teaching methods, making it difficult for students to comprehend the material. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of implementing the cooperative learning model Think Pair Share in improving students' dancing skills. The researcher employed an experimental method using a one-group pretest-posttest design with a quantitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. The sample type used was purposive sampling, selected through non-probability sampling techniques, with the subjects being seventh-grade E class students at SMPN 29 Bandung. Data analysis was conducted using a paired sample t-test to assess the difference between pretest and posttest results. The findings of this study indicate an improvement in students' dancing skills after the application of the Think-Pair-Share cooperative learning model, as evidenced by the increase in average scores from the pretest to the posttest across five indicators of dancing skills: imitation, manipulation, precision, articulation, and naturalization. The result showed that tcount > ttable, with 37.99 > 1.696, meaning that the research hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
