Fenomena penurunan kinerja internal yang tidak sejalan dengan peningkatan kepuasan masyarakat menjadi latar belakang pentingnya peran kepemimpinan yang inspiratif dan partisipatif dan kurang adanya keterlibatan penuh pegawai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey melalui penyebaran kuisioner kepada seluruh pegawai Sekretariat DPRD Purwakarta yang berjumlah 90 responden. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji analisis jalur (path analysis) untuk menguji hubungan langsung dan tidak langsung. Selain itu juga menggunakan uji hipotesis Uji-t dan Uji-F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa visionary leadership berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement sebesar (0,382) dengan tingkat signifikansi (0,000<0,05), visionary leadership berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap employee performance sebesar (0,436) dengan tingkat signifikansi (0,000<0,05) , employee engagement berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap employee performance sebesar (0,626) dengan tingkat signifikansi (0,000<0,05), dan hasil dari pengaruh langsung sebesar (-0,790) lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan pengaruh tidak langsung sebesar (0,382) dari visionary leadership terhadap employee performance melalui employee engagement sebagai variabel mediasi. This study aims to determine the level of influence of visionary leadership on employee performance through employee engagement as a mediating variable in the Purwakarta DPRD Secretariat. The phenomenon of declining internal performance that is not in line with increasing public satisfaction is the background to the importance of the role of inspirational and participatory leadership and the lack of full employee involvement. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to all employees of the Purwakarta DPRD Secretariat, totaling 90 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using path analysis to examine direct and indirect relationships. In addition, hypothesis testing was also used t-test and F-test. The results of the study show that visionary leadership has a significant influence on employee engagement of (0.382) with a significance level of (0.000<0.05), visionary leadership has a significant influence on employee performance of (0.436) with a significance level of (0.000<0.05), employee engagement has a significant influence on employee performance of (0.626) with a significance level of (0.000<0.05), and the results of the direct influence of (-0.790) are smaller than the indirect influence of (0.382) of visionary leadership on employee performance through employee engagement as a mediating variable.
