The phenomenon of sexism in the Korean drama ?Love to Hate You? shows how language can reflect gender stereotypes and patriarchal social norms. This study aims to analyze sexist speech in the drama and how it represents gender equality. The research data consisted of 151 sexist utterances from episodes 1?5, which were analyzed qualitatively using Sara Mills' theory of language and sexism, as well as Stuart Hall's theory of representation to understand the construction of gender meaning. The results show that of the 151 data points, 33 utterances were overt sexism and 118 were indirect sexism. Sexist utterances were mostly spoken by male characters. Although seemingly demeaning, these utterances were used in the narrative context to portray female characters who asserted their identity, independence, and professionalism through resistance to gender stereotypes. The analysis of representation reveals that sexist language plays a dual role: it reflects patriarchal social structures while also serving as a means of representing gender equality. The implications of this study highlight the importance of critically understanding language in the media, as seemingly harmful statements can become a means of gender empowerment and challenge social stereotypes. ? ??? ????? ???? ???? ??? ??? ???? ??? ????? ???? ?? ??? ??. ?? ??? ??????? ??? ??? ??? ????? ? ????? ?? ??? ??? ? ??? ????. ? ??? 1??? 5???? ???? ?? 151?? ????, ?? ??(Sara Mills)? ??? ??? ?? ? ???? ?(Stuart Hall)? ?? ??? ??? ????? ????. ?? ??, ?? 151?? ?? ? 33?? ???? ???(Overt Sexism), 118?? ???? ???(Indirect Sexism)? ????. ??? ???? ??? ?? ?? ???? ?? ?????. ???? ?? ???? ???? ??? ????, ???? ??? ???? ??? ???? ? ????? ?????? ??? ???, ???, ???? ???? ?? ???? ???? ? ?????. ?? ??? ???, ???? ??? ???? ?? ??? ???? ??? ???? ???? ???? ???? ??? ??. ? ??? ??? ? ??? ????? ???? ?? ???? ????. ??? ??? ??? ????? ???? ???? ??? ????? ???? ??? ? ? ?? ????.
