"ABSTRAK \r\nMeskipun program English for Specific Purposes (Bahasa Inggris Tujuan Khusus) dirancang \r\nuntuk memenuhi kebutuhan komunikasi spesifik suatu disiplin ilmu, penelitian yang mengkaji \r\nsejauh mana komponen kurikulum saling selaras serta sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajar \r\ndan pemangku kepentingan di bidang kesehatan masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk \r\nmenyelidiki keselarasan kurikulum English for Nursing dengan kebutuhan bahasa akademik \r\ndan dunia kerja mahasiswa serta pemangku kepentingan kesehatan di sebuah universitas swasta \r\ndi Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, Indonesia. Kajian ini menggunakan kerangka triangulasi yang \r\nmengintegrasikan Objectives Model dari Tyler (1949), Grassroots Model dari Taba (1962), dan \r\nLanguage Curriculum Development Framework dari Richards (2001) untuk menganalisis \r\ntujuan, konten, strategi pembelajaran, dan praktik asesmen dalam kurikulum. Penelitian ini \r\nmenggunakan desain studi kasus kualitatif dengan menganalisis dokumen berupa profil mata \r\nkuliah, dua silabus, dan dua modul pembelajaran, serta wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan dua \r\npuluh satu partisipan yang dipilih secara purposif, terdiri atas mahasiswa keperawatan, alumni, \r\ndosen ESP, dosen keperawatan, koordinator program, dan manajer perawat. Temuan \r\nmenunjukkan bahwa kurikulum menyediakan struktur dasar bagi kompetensi komunikatif \r\numum dalam konteks klinis dan telah memuat beberapa konten spesifik keperawatan. Namun \r\ndemikian, keselarasan antara tujuan, isi pembelajaran, dan asesmen hanya bersifat parsial, \r\ndengan adanya kesenjangan nyata dalam autentisitas konteks serta keterbatasan penggunaan \r\ntugas-tugas yang relevan dengan dunia kerja seperti simulasi, role-play, dan dokumentasi \r\nkeperawatan. Analisis kebutuhan mengindikasikan bahwa keterampilan berbicara, menyimak, \r\ndan menulis merupakan keterampilan yang paling krusial untuk kinerja akademik maupun \r\nklinis, namun keterampilan tersebut belum mendapat penekanan yang memadai dalam praktik \r\npengajaran dan asesmen. Keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan dalam perumusan kurikulum, \r\nkhususnya dari alumni, manajer perawat, dan mahasiswa, juga masih minim, sehingga \r\nmenimbulkan ketidaksesuaian antara pembelajaran di kelas dan harapan dunia kerja. Selain itu, \r\nkurikulum belum merujuk pada kerangka internasional seperti Common European Framework \r\nof Reference for Languages (CEFR), yang membatasi keselarasan dengan standar global \r\nketerampilan kerja perawat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan autentisitas tugas \r\npembelajaran, penguatan keselarasan asesmen dengan tujuan pembelajaran, integrasi kerangka \r\ninternasional dalam asesmen, serta peningkatan partisipasi pemangku kepentingan dalam \r\ndesain kurikulum. Penekanan juga perlu diberikan pada kolaborasi interdisipliner, sensitivitas \r\nbudaya, dan komunikasi berpusat pada pasien. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperluas kajian \r\nkurikulum ESP dengan menerapkan analisis keselarasan berbasis multi-kerangka. Secara \r\npraktis, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berbasis data bagi pendidik ESP, pengembang \r\nkurikulum, dan pembuat kebijakan untuk meningkatkan program English for Nursing di \r\nIndonesia. Dari perspektif kebijakan, penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan \r\nkurikulum pendidikan tinggi yang berbasis kebutuhan dan melibatkan pemangku kepentingan. \r\nKeterbatasan penelitian ini mencakup lingkup lokasi tunggal dan tidak adanya observasi kelas; \r\npenelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengkaji di berbagai institusi, menggunakan desain \r\nlongitudinal, serta mengeksplorasi model integratif yang menggabungkan pengajaran bahasa \r\ndengan pelatihan klinis. \r\nKata Kunci: keselarasan kurikulum, English for Nursing, ESP, analisis kebutuhan, \r\nketerlibatan pemangku kepentingan, pendidikan keperawatan, Indonesia.\r\n\r\nABSTRACT \r\nAlthough English for Specific Purposes (ESP) programmes are intended to address discipline\r\nspecific communication needs, limited research has examined the extent to which their \r\ncurriculum components align with one another and the needs of learners and healthcare \r\nstakeholders. This study investigates the alignment of an English for Nursing curriculum with \r\nthe academic and workplace language needs of students and healthcare stakeholders at a private \r\nuniversity in South Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. The study used a triangulated framework \r\nintegrating Tyler’s Objectives Model (1949), Taba’s Grassroots Model (1962), and Richards’s \r\nLanguage Curriculum Development Framework (2001) to analyse curriculum objectives, \r\ncontent, instructional strategies, and assessment practices. This study adopted a qualitative case \r\nstudy design involving document analysis of a course profile, two syllabi, and two learning \r\nmodules, as well as semi-structured interviews with twenty-one purposively selected \r\nparticipants comprising nursing students, alumni, ESP lecturers, nursing lecturers, a \r\nprogramme coordinator, and nurse managers. Findings revealed that the curriculum provided \r\na foundational structure for general communicative competence in clinical contexts and \r\nincluded some nursing-specific content. However, alignment among objectives, instructional \r\ncontent, and assessment was only partial, with obvious gaps in contextual authenticity and \r\nlimited use of workplace-relevant tasks such as simulations, role-plays, and nursing \r\ndocumentation. Needs analysis indicated that speaking, listening, and writing were the most \r\ncritical skills for academic and clinical performance, yet these were insufficiently emphasised \r\nin teaching practices and assessments. Stakeholder involvement in curriculum formulation, \r\nespecially from alumni, nurse managers, and students, was minimal, contributing to \r\nmisalignments between classroom instruction and workplace expectations. The curriculum also \r\nneeded references to international frameworks, such as the Common European Framework of \r\nReference for Languages (CEFR), which limited its alignment with global nursing \r\nemployability standards. The study suggests enhancing the authenticity of instructional tasks, \r\nstrengthening the alignment of assessment with learning objectives, integrating international \r\nlanguage proficiency frameworks into the assessment, and increasing stakeholder participation \r\nin curriculum design. Emphasis should also be placed on interdisciplinary collaboration, \r\ncultural sensitivity, and patient-centred communication. Theoretically, this study extends ESP \r\ncurriculum research by applying a multi-framework alignment analysis. Practically, it provides \r\ndata-driven insights for ESP educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers aiming to \r\nimprove English for nursing programme in Indonesia. From a policy perspective, it underscores \r\nthe \r\nimportance of institutionalising needs-based, stakeholder-informed curriculum \r\ndevelopment in higher education. Limitations include the single-site scope and the absence of \r\nclassroom observations; future research should examine multiple institutions, adopt \r\nlongitudinal designs, and explore integrated models combining language instruction with \r\nclinical training."^^ .
