abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh harga diri terhadap pengungkapan diri dengan kepercayaan sebagai variabel moderasi pada dewasa awal pengguna dating apps di Indonesia. Fenomena peningkatan penggunaan aplikasi kencan daring di kalangan dewasa awal menimbulkan pertanyaan mengenai faktor psikologis yang memengaruhi pengungkapan diri dalam interaksi daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi sederhana dan regresi ganda hirarki. Responden penelitian berjumlah 348 orang dewasa awal yang menggunakan dating apps. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa harga diri berpengaruh positif namun lemah terhadap pengungkapan diri. Demikian pula, kepercayaan memiliki pengaruh positif lemah terhadap pengungkapan diri. Interaksi harga diri dan kepercayaan juga memberikan pengaruh positif lemah terhadap pengungkapan diri. Selain itu, kepercayaan terbukti memoderasi secara penuh (pure moderation) hubungan antara harga diri dan pengungkapan diri. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kepercayaan berperan penting dalam memperkuat pengaruh harga diri terhadap pengungkapan diri pada interaksi daring, khususnya dalam konteks penggunaan aplikasi kencan oleh dewasa awal di Indonesia. ;
This study aims to examine the effect of self-esteem on self-disclosure with trust as a moderating variable among early adults using dating apps in Indonesia. The increasing use of online dating applications among early adults raises questions about the psychological factors influencing self-disclosure in online interactions. This research employed a quantitative approach with correlation analysis and hierarchical multiple regression. The respondents consisted of 348 early adults who were active dating apps users. The results show that self-esteem has a weak but positive effect on self-disclosure. Similarly, trust has a weak positive effect on self-disclosure. The interaction between self-esteem and trust also produces a weak positive effect on self-disclosure. Furthermore, trust was found to fully moderate the relationship between self-esteem and self-disclosure. These findings indicate that trust plays a crucial role in strengthening the influence of self-esteem on self-disclosure in online interactions, particularly in the context of dating apps usage among early adults in Indonesia.
