Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh permasalahan harmonisasi suara yang belum optimal akibat perbedaan karakter vokal siswa serta minimnya pemahaman tentang teknik vokal dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 22 siswa aktif yang tergabung dalam paduan suara. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik blending dan balancing melalui tahapan pemanasan vokal, latihan pernapasan diafragma, intonasi, artikulasi, resonansi, serta latihan partitur lagu "Terima Kasihku" mampu meningkatkan kualitas vokal siswa secara signifikan. Data observasi memperlihatkan peningkatan capaian dari 11,36\% pada pertemuan pertama menjadi 93,94\% pada pertemuan kedelapan. Siswa mampu menyanyikan bagian masing-masing tanpa mendominasi, lebih homogen, serta disiplin dalam menjaga dinamika suara. Selain itu, aspek non-teknis seperti kerja sama, kedisiplinan, dan kepercayaan diri juga mengalami perkembangan positif. Dengan demikian, penerapan teknik blending dan balancing terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas vokal paduan suara, sekaligus memperkuat sikap kerja sama dan karakter peserta didik. ABSTRACT This research aims to describe the process and results of applying blending and balancing techniques in vocal training for the choir extracurricular program at SMP Puspanegara Citeureup. The background of this study is based on the problem of suboptimal vocal harmony caused by the diverse vocal characteristics of students and their limited understanding of basic vocal techniques. The research method employed was classroom action research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, carried out in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 22 active students in the choir. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, and verification. The findings show that the application of blending and balancing techniques through stages such as vocal warm-up, diaphragmatic breathing, intonation, articulation, resonance, and practicing the song "Terima Kasihku" significantly improved students' vocal quality. Observation data revealed an increase in achievement from 11.36\% in the first meeting to 93.94\% in the eighth meeting. Students were able to sing their respective parts without dominating, producing a more homogeneous sound while maintaining discipline in vocal dynamics. In addition, non-technical aspects such as teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence also showed positive development. Thus, the application of blending and balancing techniques proved effective in enhancing the vocal quality of the choir while fostering students' collaboration skills and character building.
