Continuing education subject: T Technology (General) description: Penelitian ini mengkaji kebutuhan kompetensi Building Information Modeling (BIM) pada industri Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) di Indonesia dalam rangka memahami keterkaitannya dengan standar nasional yang berlaku. Latar belakang penelitian ini didorong oleh meningkatnya permintaan tenaga kerja yang memiliki keahlian BIM, seiring dengan transformasi digital di sektor konstruksi, namun belum adanya pemetaan sistematis mengenai jenis pekerjaan, kompetensi, serta kesesuaian dengan Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional Indonesia (SKKNI) dan Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis pekerjaan terkait BIM di industri AEC Indonesia, (2) mengelompokkan kompetensi yang tercermin dalam deskripsi pekerjaan tersebut, dan (3) menganalisis kesesuaian serta kesenjangan kompetensi dengan SKKNI dan jenjang KKNI. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode mixed method dengan desain sequential explanatory, menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif melalui text mining (TF-IDF dan cosine similarity) terhadap 204 data iklan kerja BIM dari LinkedIn, Jobstreet, Glints, dan KitaLulus, serta analisis kualitatif berbasis content analysis menggunakan kerangka O*NET. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pekerjaan terkait BIM meliputi posisi teknis seperti BIM Modeler, BIM Drafter, dan BIM Engineer, hingga posisi manajerial seperti BIM Coordinator dan BIM Manager. Kompetensi yang dibutuhkan mencakup keterampilan teknis perangkat lunak BIM, manajerial, serta soft skills kolaboratif. Pemetaan dengan SKKNI dan KKNI menunjukkan tingkat kesesuaian yang cukup tinggi, namun terdapat kesenjangan berupa kompetensi baru seperti manajemen data berbasis cloud, integrasi BIM dengan GIS dan IoT, serta kolaborasi lintas platform digital. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya pembaruan standar kompetensi nasional dan penyesuaian kurikulum pendidikan agar lebih responsif terhadap dinamika pasar kerja. Kata Kunci : Building Information Modeling (BIM),Kompetensi Kerja,SKKNI,KKNI, Industri AEC This research examines the competency requirements of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Indonesia’s Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, with a particular focus on their alignment with existing national standards. The background of this study is driven by the increasing demand for BIM-skilled professionals along with the digital transformation in the construction sector, while systematic mapping of job types, competencies, and their relevance to the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) and the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) has not been widely conducted. The objectives of this research are to (1) identify the types of BIM-related jobs in the Indonesian AEC industry, (2) classify the competencies reflected in job descriptions, and (3) analyze the alignment and gaps between industry-required competencies and SKKNI as well as KKNI qualification levels. This study applies a mixed-method approach with a sequential explanatory design, combining quantitative analysis through text mining (TF-IDF and cosine similarity) on 204 BIM-related job postings from LinkedIn, Jobstreet, Glints, and KitaLulus, with qualitative analysis using content analysis based on the O*NET framework. The findings indicate that BIM-related positions range from technical roles such as BIM Modeler, BIM Drafter, and BIM Engineer, to managerial roles such as BIM Coordinator and BIM Manager. The required competencies encompass technical proficiency in BIM software, managerial skills, and collaborative soft skills. Mapping against SKKNI and KKNI shows a relatively high degree of alignment, but also reveals emerging gaps such as cloud-based data management, BIM integration with GIS and IoT, and cross-platform digital collaboration. These findings highlight the need for continuous updates of national competency standards and curriculum adjustments to ensure greater responsiveness to the dynamics of the labor market.
