Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan problem solving matematis siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kalangsemanding dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita kontekstual serta mengukur ketercapaian setiap indikator problem solving menurut langkah Polya, yaitu : memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa kembali hasil. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 30 siswa kelas II. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes uraian berjumlah 10 butir soal cerita kontekstual yang telah divalidasi isi dan reliabilitasnya. Dan dianalisis menggunakan penskoran berdasarkan rubrik problem solving, dilanjutkan dengan perhitungan persentase, distribusi kategori kemampuan (rendah, sedang, tinggi), serta perbandingan antara skor aktual dengan skor maksimal tiap indiktaor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan problem solving matematis siswa secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori tinggi. Distribusi siswa menunjukkan 10% pada kategori rendah dengan jumlah 3 siswa, 30% pada kategori sedang dengan jumlah 9 siswa, dan 60% pada kategori tinggi dengan jumlah 18 siswa. Analisis per indikator mengungkapkan bahwa indikator memahami masalah merupakan yang paling tinggi tingkat ketercapaiannya, sedangkan indikator melaksanakan rencana memiliki tingkat capaian paling terendah. Perbandingan skor aktual dengan skor maksimal memperlihatkan bahwa pencapaian siswa belum mencapai 100% dari potensi yang ada. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan perlunya guru merancang pembelajaran yang melibatkan lebih banyak soal cerita kontekstual, mendorong siswa menggunakan strategi non-algoritmik, serta melatih kebiasaan untuk meninjau ulang hasil penyelesaian soal. -------------- This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical problem-solving skills among elementary school students, particularly in solving contextual word problems. The purpose of this study is to analyze the problem-solving abilities of second-grade students at SD Negeri Kalangsemanding in solving contextual word problems and to measure the achievement of each problem-solving indicator based on Polya’s four steps : understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. The study employed a descriptive quantitative method with 30 second-grade students as the research subjects. The ressearch instrument consisted of 10 essay-type contextual word problems that had been validated for content and reliability. Data were analyzed using a scoring rubric based on problem-solving indicators, followed by percentage calculations, distribution of ability categories (low, medium, high), and comparison between the actual scores and the maximum possible scores for each indicator. The results revealed that students’ overall mathematical problem-solving ability was in the high category. The distribution showed 10% of students (3 students) in the low category), 30% (9 students) in the medium category, and 60% (18 students) in the high category. Indicator analysis indicated that “understanding the problem” achieved the highest level of attainment, while “carrying out the plan” was the lowest. The comparison between actual scores and maximum scores demonstrated that students’ achievement had not yet reached 100% of its potential.
