Hal ini karena Clash of Champions disajikan dalam format edutainment digital yang menggabungkan unsur kompetisi, tampilan visual yang menarik, serta narasi yang edukatif, yang dinilai mampu memicu motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik, sejalan dengan indikator motivasi berdasarkan Self-Determination Theory dari Deci & Ryan, sehingga dapat mendorong motivasi mahasiswa menjadi contoh atau inspirasi bagi mahasiswa Teknologi Pendidikan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tayangan edutainment Clash of Champions di kanal YouTube Ruangguru dengan Motivasi Belajar pada mahasiswa Teknologi Pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional, sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Teknologi Pendidikan angkatan 2023 yang telah menonton edutainment Clash of Champions, sebanyak 66 orang, dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Hasil analisis data menggunakan teknik rank spearman menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi (rho) sebesar 0,274 dengan nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,026. Nilai koefisien korelasi tersebut berada pada kategori rendah, namun menunjukkan arah hubungan positif, yang berarti bahwa semakin tinggi keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam menyaksikan tayangan Edutainment Clash of Champions, maka cenderung semakin tinggi pula motivasi mereka dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa tayangan edutainment dapat menjadi sumber inspirasi dan motivasi belajar bagi mahasiswa di bidang teknologi pendidikan. Programs such as Clash of Champions hold great potential in enhancing learning motivation. This is because Clash of Champions is presented in a digital edutainment format that combines elements of competition, engaging visuals, and educational narration, which are considered capable of stimulating both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, in line with the indicators of motivation based on Deci & Ryan’s Self-Determination Theory. Thus, it can encourage students’ motivation and serve as an example or inspiration for Educational Technology students in their learning process. This study aims to determine the relationship between the edutainment program Clash of Champions on Ruangguru’s YouTube channel and the learning motivation of Educational Technology students. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consisted of all 2023 cohort Educational Technology students who had watched Clash of Champions, totaling 66 respondents, using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis using Spearman’s rank correlation revealed a correlation coefficient (rho) of 0.274 with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.026. This correlation coefficient falls into the low category but indicates a positive relationship, meaning that the higher the students’ engagement in watching Clash of Champions, the higher their learning motivation tends to be.
