Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya peran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membentuk karakter dan sikap dasar siswa sejak dini, khususnya dalam aspek basic manner. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods) dengan model eksploratori sekuensial, di mana data kualitatif dikumpulkan terlebih dahulu melalui wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD), kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyebaran kuesioner untuk memperoleh data kuantitatif. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa siswa memiliki tingkat pemahaman agama dan perilaku sopan santun yang cukup tinggi. Uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara Pendidikan Agama Islam dan basic manner siswa. Analisis regresi linier sederhana mengungkap bahwa Pendidikan Agama Islam memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap pembentukan perilaku dasar siswa. Temuan ini diperkuat oleh data kualitatif yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai agama diinternalisasi secara konsisten dalam rutinitas sekolah melalui berbagai program pembiasaan. Oleh karena itu, Pendidikan Agama Islam berperan sebagai fondasi penting dalam pembentukan karakter siswa, khususnya dalam konteks basic manner dengan pembiasaan dan lingkungan sosial di sekolah. Dengan demikian, Pendidikan Agama Islam terbukti berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter dan etika dasar siswa sejak usia sekolah dasar. ----- This study aims to examine the relationship between Islamic Religious Education and the development of basic manners in elementary school students at SDIT Tahfizh Qur’an Al Jabar. The background of this research is the crucial role of Islamic Religious Education in shaping students’ character and fundamental behavior from an early age, particularly in the area of basic manners. This study employs a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, where qualitative data were first collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), followed by the distribution of questionnaires to gather quantitative data. Descriptive analysis results show that students possess a relatively high level of religious understanding and polite behavior. The Spearman correlation test indicates a very strong and significant positive relationship between Islamic Religious Education and students' basic manners. Simple linear regression analysis reveals that Islamic Religious Education makes a significant contribution to the formation of students’ fundamental behavior. These findings are supported by qualitative data showing that religious values are consistently internalized in daily school routines through various habituation programs. Therefore, Islamic Religious Education serves as a crucial foundation in shaping students’ character, especially in the context of basic manners, through habituation and the school’s social environment.
