TY - THES N2 - Penelitian ini menginvestigasi pengaruh model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis festival digital terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group di SMPN 2 dan SMPN 4 Subang, studi ini menganalisis pengaruh kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model festival digital dengan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol, dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 66,75 di SMPN 2 Subang dan 74,08 di SMPN 4 Subang (kategori efektif), sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya mencapai kategori kurang efektif. Analisis T-test menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen secara signifikan lebih unggul. Hasilnya, kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan signifikan pada kelima indikator berpikir kritis, seperti menganalisis argumen dan membuat kesimpulan. Nilai rata-rata pasca-tes kelas eksperimen jauh lebih tinggi (85-86) dibandingkan kelas kontrol (72.30-75.81). Hasil nilai siswa di SMPN 4 Subang tidak hanya tinggi, tetapi juga sangat merata. Selain itu, angket menunjukkan bahwa siswa di Kelas Eksperimen SMPN 4 Subang memiliki kepercayaan diri yang paling tinggi, mengindikasikan bahwa metode Project Festival Digital di sekolah tersebut berpengaruh dalam membangun keyakinan siswa terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis mereka. This study investigates the effect of a festival-based digital Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on students? critical thinking skills. Employing a nonequivalent control group design at SMPN 2 and SMPN 4 Subang, the study compares the outcomes of an experimental class implementing the digital festival model with a control class using conventional learning. The findings reveal that the improvement of students? critical thinking skills in the experimental classes was significantly higher than in the control classes, with average N-Gain scores of 66.75 at SMPN 2 Subang and 74.08 at SMPN 4 Subang (categorized as effective), while the control classes only reached a less effective category. A T-test analysis confirmed the superior performance of the experimental groups. Moreover, students in the experimental classes demonstrated significant improvement across all five indicators of critical thinking, such as analyzing arguments and drawing conclusions. The post-test mean scores of the experimental classes were considerably higher (85?86) compared to the control classes (72.30?75.81). Notably, the students? achievement at SMPN 4 Subang was not only higher but also more evenly distributed. Additionally, questionnaire results indicated that students in the SMPN 4 Subang experimental class exhibited the highest level of confidence, suggesting that the Digital Festival Project method effectively fostered students? belief in their critical thinking abilities.
