Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna nasionalisme dalam dinamika pembelajaran sejarah abad ke-21. Fenomenologi digunakan untuk mengungkap esensi dari makna nasionalisne Indonesia dalam proses dinamika pembelajaran sejarah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan sejarah di DKI Jakarta. Penelitian ini dijalankan melalui serangkaian tahapan sistematis, pengumpulan data diperoleh malalui observasi, forum diskusi dan wawancara mendalam terdiri dari 10 mahasiswa yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya sesuai dengan kriteria penelitian. Langkah selanjutnya pertama, epoche, yakni proses di mana peneliti menangguhkan segala bentuk praduga atau bias pribadi demi menjaga kemurnian interpretasi data. Kedua, reduksi fenomenologis, yaitu mendeskripsikan fenomena secara jujur dan mendalam melalui teks naratif secara komprehensif dengan variasi imajinatif, yakni usaha peneliti untuk menggali berbagai kemungkinan makna dari pengalaman yang telah dideskripsikan, guna mengungkap struktur esensial yang tersembunyi di balik pengalaman tersebut. Ketiga, tahap sintesis, yaitu menyatukan deskripsi tekstural dan struktural ke dalam bentuk pemahaman menyeluruh mengenai esensi dari fenomena yang di kaji. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa: 1) Nasionalisme Indonesia dipahami mahasiswa dalam perspektif sejarah Indonesia; 2) Makna nasionalisme Indonesia disadari mahasiswa mewujud dalam kehidupan politik, sosial, kebudayaan dan ekonomi kebangsaan; 3) Makna nasionalisme Indonesia hadir dalam dinamika pembelajaran sejarah abad ke-21. The dynamics of 21st-century history learning are expected to foster a deeper understanding of the meaning of Indonesian nationalism among students. This study aims to uncover the meaning of nationalism in the dynamics of 21st-century history learning. Phenomenology is used to uncover the essence of the meaning of Indonesian nationalism in the dynamics of history learning among students in the history education study program in DKI Jakarta. This study was conducted through a series of systematic stages, data collection was obtained through observation, discussion forums, and in-depth interviews with 10 students who had been previously determined according to the research criteria. The next step is the first, epoche, which is the process in which the researcher suspends all forms of presumption or personal bias in order to maintain the purity of data interpretation. Second, phenomenological reduction, which is describing the phenomenon honestly and deeply through comprehensive narrative texts with imaginative variations, namely the researcher's attempt to explore various possible meanings of the experiences that have been described, in order to reveal the essential structure hidden behind the experience. Third, the synthesis stage, which is combining textural and structural descriptions into a comprehensive understanding of the essence of the phenomenon being studied.
