Salah satu upaya menumbuhkan karakter tersebut adalah melalui integrasi pendidikan lingkungan dalam pembelajaran sekolah. Pemerintah Kabupaten Purwakarta merancang program Tatanen di Bale Atikan (TDBA) sebagai bagian dari kebijakan 5 Bunga Karakter untuk mendukung pelestarian lingkungan dan pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Namun, efektivitas integrasi program ini dalam pembelajaran, khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPS, perlu dikaji lebih lanjut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, serta kendala dan solusi dari integrasi program TDBA dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi program TDBA dalam pembelajaran IPS dilakukan melalui modul ajar yang memuat nilai-nilai peduli lingkungan seperti gotong royong, tanggung jawab, dan cinta alam. Program ini berhasil menumbuhkan kesadaran ekologis dan sikap tanggung jawab peserta didik terhadap lingkungan. Dengan demikian, integrasi TDBA dalam pembelajaran IPS dinilai efektif dan dapat menjadi contoh pendidikan karakter berbasis lingkungan hidup yang kontekstual dan relevan untuk diterapkan di satuan pendidikan lainnya; Environmentally caring character is an important part of 21st century education and is included in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially sustainable education. One of the efforts to grow the character is through the integration of environmental education in school learning. The Purwakarta Regency Government designed the Tatanen di Bale Atikan (TDBA) program as part of the 5 Bunga Karakter policy to support environmental conservation and character formation of students. However, the effectiveness of this program's integration in learning, especially in IPS subjects, needs to be studied further. The purpose of this research is to find out how the planning process, implementation, as well as obstacles and solutions from the integration of the TDBA program in IPS learning to form a character that cares for the environment of students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that the integration of the TDBA program in IPS learning is carried out through teaching modules that contain the values of caring for the environment such as solidarity, responsibility, and love for nature. This program has succeeded in developing ecological awareness and students' attitude of responsibility towards the environment.
