Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan materi pada buku SMA berdasarkan kesesuaian dengan kurikulum, kebenaran konsep, serta konteks substansi dan pedagogik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian evaluatif dengan metode analisis konten. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa materi kesetimbangan kimia dalam buku teks kimia SMA kelas XI Kurikulum Merdeka belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum. Ditinjau dari keluasan materi, dari 14 konsep yang dituntut kurikulum, terdapat 1 konsep yang kurang luas dan 3 konsep yang terlalu luas. Sementara itu, ditinjau dari segi kedalaman konsep terdapat 5 konsep dinyatakan kurang dalam. 14 konsep yang terdapat dalam objek penelitian kebenaran konsepnya dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi simbolik dan fenomena. Mayoritas konsep (10 dari 14) disajikan berdasarkan simbolik, sementara 4 konsep disajikan berdasarkan fenomena. Selanjutnya ditemukan 7 konsep yang dapat menyebabkan miskonsepsi siswa terhadap fenomena kesetimbangan kimia. Konteks substansi yang dikembangkan pada objek penelitian mencakup dua topik: perkaratan besi dan kerusakan alam, serta konteks pedagogik yang dikembangkan meliputi satu nilai (teoritik), empat sikap (komunikatif, jujur, menghargai prestasi, dan peduli lingkungan), serta satu keterampilan (teknis). An analysis of the feasibility of chemical equilibrium content in a popular Chemistry textbook for Grade 11 of the Merdeka Curriculum was conducted based on the selection stage criteria from the 4STMD framework. This study aims to determine the content's feasibility based on alignment with the curriculum, conceptual accuracy, and the development of substance and pedagogical contexts. This research uses an evaluative approach with content analysis as its method. The results show that the chemical equilibrium content in the textbook is not fully aligned with the curriculum's requirements. From the perspective of content breadth, out of the 14 concepts mandated by the curriculum, one concept was found to be too narrow, while three concepts were too broad. In terms of conceptual depth, five concepts were deemed insufficient. Of the 14 concepts found in the textbook, their conceptual accuracy can be classified as symbolic or phenomenal. The majority of the concepts (10 out of 14) are presented symbolically, while four concepts are presented phenomenally. Furthermore, seven concepts were identified that could lead to student misconceptions about chemical equilibrium phenomena. The developed substance context in the textbook covers two main topics: the rusting of iron and environmental damage.
