Permasalahan yang dialami beberapa siswa yaitu kesulitan dalam menyampaikan pendapat atau sebuah tanggapan terhadap isi teks. Penggunaan model CIRC diharapkan dapat membantu peserta didik di sekolah dalam menyampaikan isi pikiran ide/gagasan berdasarkan isi dari sebuah teks. Penggunaan model pembelajaran CIRC dalam pembelajaran memiliki daya tarik sendiri terhadap peserta didik. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran CIRC terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman peserta didik di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini melibatkan peserta didik kelas IV SDN salah satu di Kota Tasikmalaya. Metodologi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen jenis pre-eksperimen one group design. Hipotesis pada penelitian ini yaitu H1: Terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model CIRC sebagai model pembelajaran terhadap membaca pemahaman isi teks peserta didik kelas IV SDN salah satu di Kota Tasikmalaya, H0: Tidak terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model CIRC sebagai model pembelajaran terhadap membaca pemahaman isi teks peserta didik kelas IV SDN salah satu di Kota Tasikmalaya. Hasil Output paired samples test nilai Sig (2 tailed) 0,000 < 0,05 maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Nilai t hitung 9,945 > nilai t tabel 2,07 maka terjadi adanya pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran CIRC terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman isi teks di kelas IV SD. Sehubung dengan keterbatasan peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian maka peneliti sarankan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan pengujian mengenai efektivitas model CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) dengan permasalahan yang lebih luas serta menggabungkan menggabungkan media atau teknologi yang menarik The background of this study is the use of the CIRC learning model in Indonesian language learning in elementary schools. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the CIRC learning model on the reading comprehension skills of students in grade IV of elementary school. This study involved grade IV students of one of the elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City. The methodology in this study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method of the pre-experimental one group design. The hypothesis in this study is H1: There is an effect of the use of the CIRC model as a learning model on reading comprehension of the text content of grade IV students of one of the elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City, H0: There is no effect of the use of the CIRC model as a learning model on reading comprehension of the text content of grade IV students of one of the elementary schools in Tasikmalaya City. The output results of the paired samples test with a Sig value (2 tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 mean that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. The calculated t value is 9.945 > the t table value is 2.07, meaning that there is an influence of the use of the CIRC learning model on reading comprehension skills in grade IV of elementary school.
