Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pelatihan ramah disabilitas dapat meningkatkan pemahaman pendeta Gereja Kristen Protestan Simalungun (GKPS) dalam memberikan pelayanan yang tepat kepada penyandang disabilitas, yang mencakup lima ragam disabilitas yaitu: netra, rungu, fisik, intelektual, dan mental. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) model one group posttest-only, dengan instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes pilihan ganda yang mencakup enam aspek, yaitu pemahaman tentang ragam disabilitas serta pelayanan kepada masing-masing ragam disabilitas, dan diberikan kepada 30 orang pendeta sebagai sampel penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji tanda statistik nonparametrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ramah disabilitas terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman pendeta GKPS tentang pelayanan kepada penyandang disabilitas. Peningkatan ini mencerminkan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif terhadap kebutuhan, hak, dan pendekatan pelayanan yang tepat bagi berbagai ragam disabilitas dalam konteks gerejawi. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ramah disabilitas dapat dijadikan pendekatan strategis dalam pengembangan kapasitas pendeta guna mewujudkan pelayanan gerejawi yang setara, partisipatif, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan penyandang disabilitas. ABSTRACT The limited understanding and skills of pastors in serving congregations with disabilities is one of the challenges in realizing an inclusive and welcoming church for all. This study aims to determine the extent to which disability-friendly training can enhance the understanding of pastors in the Simalungun Protestant Christian Church (GKPS) in providing appropriate services to people with disabilities, covering five types of disabilities: visual, hearing, physical, intellectual, and mental. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a one-group posttest-only model, employing a multiple-choice test as the data collection instrument. The test covers six aspects: understanding of disability types and services for each type of disability, and was administered to 30 pastors as the research sample. Data were analyzed using nonparametric statistical tests. The results of the study indicate that disability-friendly training is effective in enhancing GKPS pastors' understanding of services for people with disabilities. This improvement reflects a more comprehensive understanding of the needs, rights, and appropriate service approaches for various types of disabilities in a church context.
