Ketidakseimbangan ini berdampak pada lemahnya internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan nyata peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan baru dalam pembelajaran PAI yang lebih integratif dan transformatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan membandingkan pemikiran Hasan Al-Banna dan Mohammad Natsir mengenai pendidikan Islam, serta menganalisis implikasinya terhadap pengembangan konsep pembelajaran PAI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis dan komparatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Al-Banna dan Natsir sama-sama menekankan pendidikan Islam yang menyeluruh, integratif, dan berlandaskan nilai-nilai keimanan, akhlak, serta pengembangan potensi manusia secara utuh; (2) Keduanya memiliki banyak kesamaan, terutama dalam menolak dikotomi ilmu agama dan ilmu umum, namun terdapat perbedaan dalam penekanan pendekatan, di mana Al-Banna lebih menekankan aspek gerakan dan spiritualitas kolektif, sedangkan Natsir lebih menonjolkan aspek intelektual dan integrasi keilmuan dalam sistem nasional; (3) Implikasi dari pemikiran keduanya menawarkan konsep pembelajaran PAI yang tidak hanya menekankan aspek pengetahuan, tetapi juga pembentukan karakter dan spiritualitas peserta didik. Kesimpulannya, pemikiran Al-Banna dan Natsir dapat dijadikan landasan konseptual dalam membangun model pembelajaran PAI yang relevan, transformatif, dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan uji penerapan melalui studi lapangan atau tindakan kelas. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in formal schools still tends to focus primarily on cognitive aspects, such as memorization and comprehension, while affective and psychomotor domains remain underdeveloped. This imbalance leads to weak internalization of Islamic values in students' everyday lives. Therefore, a more integrative and transformative approach to PAI learning is urgently needed. This study aims to examine and compare the educational thoughts of Hasan Al-Banna and Mohammad Natsir, and to analyze their implications for the development of PAI instructional concepts. This research employs a qualitative method using a literature review with a descriptive- analytical and comparative approach. The findings reveal that: (1) both Al-Banna and Natsir emphasize a comprehensive, integrative Islamic education grounded in faith, morality, and the holistic development of human potential; (2) while they share a common rejection of the dichotomy between religious and secular sciences, Al-Banna focuses more on collective spiritual activism, whereas Natsir stresses intellectual engagement and the integration of religious values into the national education system; (3) their ideas offer a framework for PAI learning that goes beyond knowledge acquisition to include character formation and spiritual development. In conclusion, the educational visions of Al-Banna and Natsir provide a conceptual foundation for designing relevant, transformative, and contextual PAI models. This study recommends further research through field studies or classroom action research to assess the practical effectiveness of these concepts.
