Dengan sumber penelitian secara keseluruhan berjumlah 45 siswa, serta masing-masing satu guru Bahasa Indonesia dari sekolah dasar yang dituju. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) berbasis apresiasi drama dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Model pembelajaran RADEC yang berakar pada teori konstruktivisme sosial diterapkan melalui lima tahapan pembelajaran terstruktur yang memfasilitasi keterlibatan aktif siswa. Melalui apresiasi drama, siswa diajak memahami, mendiskusikan, dan mengekspresikan gagasan secara kreatif. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pre eksperimental desain. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes keterampilan berbicara, tes berpikir kritis, angket analisis kebutuhan guru dan siswa, angket validasi ahli model pembelajaran RADEC dan materi apresiasi drama, angket respon guru dan siswa, serta observasi proses kegiatan belajar mengajar guru dan siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan berupa Uji Normalitas, Uji Sample T-test, dan Uji N-Gain untuk mengolah data tes keterampilan berbicara dan berpikir kritis dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi SPSS 26. Sedangkan data yang diperoleh dari hasil angket dan observasi dihitung menggunakan bantuan aplikasi lembar kerja berupa Microsoft Excel dengan memasukan rumus persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan berbicara maupun kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar setelah penerapan model RADEC berbasis apresiasi drama. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan model RADEC sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran inovatif dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar. This research was conducted in two elementary schools, specifically in Sukabumi City. With a total of 45 students as research sources, and one Indonesian language teacher from each target elementary school. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model based on drama appreciation in improving the speaking and critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. The RADEC learning model, rooted in the theory of social constructivism, is implemented through five structured learning stages that facilitate active student involvement. Through drama appreciation, students are invited to understand, discuss, and express ideas creatively. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design method. The instruments used are speaking skills tests, critical thinking tests, teacher and student needs analysis questionnaires, expert validation questionnaires on the RADEC learning model and drama appreciation materials, teacher and student response questionnaires, and observations of the teaching and learning process of teachers and students. The data analysis used was Normality Test, Sample t-Test, and N-Gain Test to process the speaking and critical thinking skills test data using SPSS 26 application. Meanwhile, the data obtained from the questionnaire and observation results were calculated using the help of a spreadsheet application in the form of Microsoft Excel by entering the percentage formula. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the speaking and critical thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students after the implementation of the RADEC model based on drama appreciation.
