Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan lima orang tua sebagai partisipan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peran orang tua diwujudkan melalui pemberian teladan perilaku mandiri, pembiasaan aktivitas sehari-hari, kesempatan untuk mencoba, serta dukungan berupa motivasi dan apresiasi. Pelibatan dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh, jenis kelamin, dan urutan anak, yang menentukan intensitas dan kualitas keterlibatan. Keterlibatan yang konsisten berdampak positif terhadap kemampuan anak mengurus diri, mengambil keputusan sederhana, bertanggung jawab, dan memiliki rasa percaya diri tinggi. ----- This study aims to describe parental involvement in developing independence in early childhood (5–6 years old). The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving five parents as participants. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that parents' roles are manifested through modeling independent behavior, establishing daily routines, providing opportunities for children to try new things, and offering support in the form of motivation and appreciation. Involvement is influenced by parenting styles, gender, and birth order, which determine the intensity and quality of involvement.
