Peningkatan minat ini mendorong kebutuhan terhadap running shoes yang tidak hanya nyaman dan fungsional, tetapi juga memiliki daya tarik visual sesuai preferensi pengguna muda. Penelitian ini fokus pada bagaimana proses perancangan running shoes kategori easy run dengan daya tarik visual seperti warna, bentuk, dan detail estetika dilakukan menggunakan metode User-Centered Design (UCD). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan desain sepatu lari yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan fungsional sekaligus preferensi visual pengguna berusia 16?23 tahun. Metode UCD yang diterapkan meliputi tahapan understand context of use, specify user requirements, design solutions, dan evaluate against requirements. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, kuesioner, analisis SWOT, serta didukung dengan pembuatan user persona dan mood board. Hasil perancangan berupa prototipe running shoes dengan material mesh dan suede sintetis, yang menawarkan kenyamanan, sirkulasi udara, serta identitas visual melalui perpaduan warna netral dan kontras. Uji coba easy run menunjukkan sepatu memenuhi kebutuhan visual dan fungsional, meskipun ditemukan tantangan pada harga jual yang melebihi target Rp400.000 akibat biaya produksi tinggi. Desain ini diharapkan menjadi solusi bagi pengguna muda yang membutuhkan sepatu lari bergaya moderen, nyaman, dan sesuai gaya hidup. Running has now become a lifestyle trend among urban communities, particularly in the easy run category which is more recreational in nature. This growing interest has driven the demand for running shoes that are not only comfortable and functional but also visually appealing in line with the preferences of young users. This study focuses on the design process of easy run running shoes with visual appeal elements such as color, shape, and aesthetic details, using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The objective of this research is to produce a running shoe design that meets both the functional needs and visual preferences of users aged 16?23 years. The applied UCD method covers the stages of understanding the context of use, specifying user requirements, designing solutions, and evaluating against requirements. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, SWOT analysis, and were supported by the development of user personas and mood boards. The design output is a prototype of running shoes made with mesh and synthetic suede materials, offering comfort, breathability, and visual identity through a combination of neutral and contrasting colors. Easy run testing demonstrated that the shoes fulfill both visual and functional needs, although challenges were found in achieving the target retail price of IDR 400,000 due to high production costs. This design is expected to serve as a solution for young users seeking modern, comfortable running shoes that fit their lifestyle.
