Hal ini disebabkan oleh salah satu faktor yaitu kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan masih menggunakan metode ceramah dengan model inkuiri namun dalam kondisi guru sebagai pusat dan sumber belajar satu-satunya untuk siswa. Oleh karena itu penulis memberikan solusi berupa alternatif model pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Children Learning in Science (CLIS) dengan harapan mampu mewujudkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experiment dengan nonequivalent control group design yang mengelompokkan sampel sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Penafsiran data hasil penelitian menggunakan uji Paired Sample T-Test untuk menjawab rumusan masalah apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran tersebut terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dan uji Independent Sample T-Test dengan membandingkan Effect Size untuk melihat apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Diperoleh hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test menunjukkan nilai sig = 0,000 {\ensuremath{<}} 0,050 dengan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran tersebut terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Sementara uji Independent Sample T-Test menghasilkan nilai sig = 0,003 {\ensuremath{<}} 0,050 dengan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, dengan efek pembeda menurut Cohen's didapati hasil 0.75 yang dikategorikan sedang. ------------ This study was motivated by the low science learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students. This is due to one of many factors, namely that teaching activities are still carried out using the conventional lecture method, with the teacher as the sole center and source of learning for students. Therefore, the author provides a solution in the form of an alternative learning model by applying the Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model with the hope of achieving a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design that groups the sample into an experimental group and a control group. The interpretation of the research results uses the Paired Sample T-Test to answer the research question of whether there is an effect of the learning model on student learning outcomes. The Independent Sample T-Test was used to compare the Effect Size to determine whether there was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test showed a sig value of 0.000 {\ensuremath{<}} 0.050, with Ho rejected and Ha accepted, indicating that the learning model had an effect on student learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the Independent Sample T-Test yielded a sig value of 0.003 {\ensuremath{<}} 0.050, with Ho rejected and Ha accepted, which can be interpreted as indicating a difference in the average learning outcomes of students between the experimental group and the control group, with a Cohen's effect size of 0.75, which is categorized as moderate.}, url = {https://repository.upi.edu/} }
