Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada kebutuhan sumber belajar dalam mendukung pembelajaran fashion design. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDE (Analysis, Design, Development, dan Evaluation). Analisis kebutuhan dilakukan melalui wawancara kepada dosen pengampu Mata Kuliah Desain Busana bahwa dibutuhkan sumber belajar berupa buku ajar pada materi fashion design yang berbasis Project Based Learning. Proses perancangan buku ajar dilakukan dengan menyusun sistematika buku ajar, mengumpulkan materi, serta menyusun buku ajar menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Hasil validasi menunjukkan buku ajar sangat layak digunakan, dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 92% dari akademisi dan 90% dari praktisi. Penilaian ini didasarkan pada lima aspek, yaitu tampilan, penyajian materi, kebahasaan, sintaks Project Based Learning, serta manfaat. Hasil respon pengguna juga menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar tersebut sangat bermanfaat, dengan persentase rata-rata sebesar 92,48%, didasarkan pada tiga aspek, yaitu penyajian, kebahasaan, dan manfaat. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengeksplorasi variabel lain, seperti implementasi buku ajar fashion design dengan pendekatan Project Based Learning, serta pengembangan buku ajar serupa pada materi lainnya, seperti pembuatan pola busana. This study aims to develop a Fashion Design textbook using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach as a learning resource for the Fashion Design and Manufacture course in the Family Welfare Education Study Program. The background of this research is based on the need for appropriate learning resources to support fashion design education. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDE model (Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation). Needs analysis was conducted through interviews with course instructors, indicating a demand for a textbook on fashion design based on the Project-Based Learning approach. The textbook development process involved outlining the book structure, collecting relevant materials, and designing the textbook using the Canva application. Validation results showed the textbook is highly feasible, with an average percentage of 92% from academic experts and 90% from industry practitioners. The evaluation was based on five aspects: appearance, content presentation, language, Project-Based Learning syntax, and usefulness. User feedback also indicated that the textbook is highly beneficial, with an average score of 92.48%, based on three aspects: presentation, language, and usefulness. The findings of this study can serve as a reference for future researchers to explore other variables, such as the implementation of the Project-Based Learning textbook in classroom settings, or the development of similar textbooks for other subjects, such as garment pattern making.
