Di Indonesia, peningkatan signifikan kasus gagal ginjal akut pada anak-anak tercatat pada tahun 2022, dengan lebih dari 300 kasus hingga Februari 2023 dan lebih dari separuh di antaranya berujung pada kematian. Kondisi ini menunjukkan urgensi edukasi pencegahan sejak dini. Edukasi melalui media yang menarik sangat penting agar anak-anak lebih mudah memahami dan tertarik mempelajari informasi terkait pencegahan gagal ginjal. Studi pendahuluan melalui kuesioner pada 33 siswa kelas 6 SD Laboratorium UPI Cibiru menunjukkan lebih dari 50\% siswa belum mengetahui cara mencegah gagal ginjal. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dikembangkan game edukasi Kidsney sebagai media pembelajaran. Game ini dirancang menggunakan metode Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) yang terdiri dari enam tahap: initiation, pre-production, production, testing, beta, dan release. GDLC dipilih karena mampu mengarahkan proses pengembangan game secara sistematis dan efisien, sekaligus memastikan kesesuaian dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Konsep, cerita, dan gameplay dalam game Kidsney disesuaikan dengan karakteristik anak usia 11-12 tahun. Setelah melewati proses validasi oleh tiga ahli media dan tiga ahli materi, serta mendapatkan respons sangat baik dari 40 siswa dalam uji beta, game Kidsney dinyatakan layak sebagai media belajar untuk pencegahan gagal ginjal pada anak usia 11-12 tahun. ------------ According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), kidney failure ranks 10th among diseases with a prevalence of around 5\% in the global population. In Indonesia, a significant increase in cases of acute kidney failure in children was recorded in 2022, with more than 300 cases by February 2023 and more than half of them resulting in death. This situation highlights the urgency of early prevention education. Education through engaging media is crucial to help children better understand and become interested in learning about kidney failure prevention. A preliminary study using a questionnaire among 33 sixth-grade students at SD Laboratorium UPI Cibiru revealed that over 50\% of the students were unaware of how to prevent kidney failure. Based on these findings, the Kidsney educational game was developed as a learning tool. The game was designed using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method, which consists of six stages: initiation, pre-production, production, testing, beta, and release. GDLC was chosen because it systematically and efficiently guides the game development process while ensuring alignment with user needs. The concept, story, and gameplay in the Kidsney game are tailored to the characteristics of children aged 11-12 years. After undergoing validation by three media experts and three subject matter experts, and receiving very positive feedback from 40 students in the beta test, the Kidsney game was deemed suitable as an educational tool for preventing kidney failure in children aged 11-12 years.}, author = {Nadila Shaleha, - and Dian Rinjani, - and Intan Permata Sari, -}, url = {https://repository.upi.edu} }
