Gangguan tidur seperti sulit tidur, sering terbangun, dan bangun terlalu pagi dapat mempercepat penurunan daya ingat dan kemampuan berpikir. Tujuan: Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan fungsi kognitif pada lanjut usia. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sebanyak 60 lansia menjadi responden. Instrumen GSQ-6 digunakan untuk menilai kualitas tidur, dan IQCODE untuk fungsi kognitif. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas tidur dan fungsi kognitif. Analisis dilakukan dengan uji korelasi. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Ditemukan hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara kualitas tidur dan fungsi kognitif (p{\ensuremath{<}}0,001; {\ensuremath{\alpha}} {$\leq$} 0,05) dengan koefisien korelasi 0,79. Semakin buruk kualitas tidur, semakin menurun fungsi kognitif. Simpulan: Kualitas tidur yang buruk berkontribusi terhadap penurunan fungsi kognitif lansia. Intervensi peningkatan kualitas tidur penting dilakukan sebagai upaya preventif dalam menjaga kesehatan kognitif dan kualitas hidup lansia. Introduction: Elderly often experience a decline in sleep quality which can adversely affect cognitive function. Sleep disturbances such as difficulty falling asleep, frequent awakenings, and early morning awakening may accelerate deterioration in memory and thinking abilities. Objective: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between sleep quality and cognitive function in the elderly population. Research Method: This study employed a cross-sectional design with quantitative methods, involving 60 elderly participants. Sleep quality was assessed using the GSQ-6 (Geriatric Sleep Questionnaire- 6) instrument, while cognitive function was measured with the IQCODE (Informant Questionnaire on Cognitive Decline in the Elderly). Data analysis was conducted using the spearman correlation test to determine the relationship between sleep quality and cognitive function. Results and Discussion: Correlation analysis revealed a highly significant relationship between sleep quality and cognitive function (p{\ensuremath{<}}0.001; {\ensuremath{\alpha}} {$\leq$} 0.05), with a strong correlation coefficient of 0.79. The findings demonstrate that poorer sleep quality is associated with greater cognitive decline, indicating that sleep disturbances significantly contribute to worsening cognitive function in the elderly.
