Penelitian ini menganalisis pengembangan ekowisata tersebut menggunakan pendekatan SWOT, mengidentifikasi kondisi ekologis, persepsi stakeholder, dan merumuskan strategi. Metode deskriptif dengan analisis SWOT digunakan, mengumpulkan data sekunder (keanekaragaman hayati, kualitas air, etika lingkungan) dan primer (wawancara pengelola, dinas, masyarakat; angket pengunjung). Hasil menunjukkan tantangan ekologis signifikan pasca revitalisasi berupa indikasi eutrofikasi dan dominasi tumbuhan air invasif yang belum terkelola efektif, namun potensi keanekaragaman hayati dan modal sosial berupa etika lingkungan masyarakat yang tinggi juga teridentifikasi. Analisis SWOT mengungkap kekuatan pada potensi alam dan dukungan, namun kelemahan pada isu lingkungan, kapasitas SDM, fokus ekowisata, dan pemerataan manfaat. Peluang ada pada tren pasar dan kemitraan, sementara ancaman meliputi persaingan dan isu sumber daya. Disimpulkan, pengembangan berkelanjutan membutuhkan strategi fokus pada pemanfaatan kekuatan dan peluang (Strategi SO), dengan diikuti upaya mengatasi kelemahan dan ancaman. Rekomendasi utama: pengembangan paket berbasis hayati, penguatan kemitraan multi-pihak, edukasi interaktif, dan integrasi ekonomi lokal yang adil. Situ Bagendit, an important lake tourism destination in Garut, requires strategic analysis for sustainable ecotourism development following revitalization aimed at enhancing ecological and tourism functions. This study analyzes such ecotourism development using a SWOT approach, identifying ecological conditions, stakeholder perceptions, and formulating strategies. A descriptive method with SWOT analysis was employed, collecting secondary data (biodiversity, water quality, community environmental ethics) and primary data (interviews with managers, tourism office, community representatives; visitor questionnaires). Results show significant post-revitalization ecological challenges, primarily strong indications of eutrophication and the dominance of ineffectively managed invasive aquatic plants. However, potential exists in biodiversity and high community social capital regarding environmental ethics. SWOT analysis revealed strengths in natural potential and support, yet weaknesses persist concerning environmental issues, human resource capacity, specific ecotourism focus, ticket pricing, and uneven benefit distribution. Opportunities lie in market trends and partnerships, while threats include competition and resource issues. Conclusively, sustainable development requires strategies focused on leveraging strengths and opportunities (SO Strategies), while seriously addressing weaknesses and threats.
