Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dipilih karena berpusat pada peserta didik dan melibatkan pemecahan masalah yang dapat merangsang daya pikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA kelas VI sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi eksperimen nonequivalent control group. Populasi adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VI SD di Kota Tangerang, dengan sampel 60 peserta didik dari SDN Daan Mogot 3 Tangerang. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal uraian berpikir kritis yang telah divalidasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji regresi linear. Hasil menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan dalam peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara peserta didik yang menggunakan model PBL dan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, PBL terbukti efektif dan direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis di sekolah dasar. ----- Critical thinking is a fundamental skill required in 21st-century education and should be nurtured from an early age. However, the critical thinking ability of students in Indonesia remains low and needs to be improved through effective learning strategies. This study investigates the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in science learning among sixth grade elementary school students. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The population included all sixth-grade students in elementary schools in Tangerang City, with a sample of 60 students from SDN Daan Mogot 3 Tangerang. The research instrument used was a validated essay-type test measuring critical thinking skills. Data were analyzed using linear regression to assess the effect of the PBL model. The results indicated a significant difference in the improvement of critical thinking skills between students taught using the PBL and those receiving conventional model.
