Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media busy book melalui model pembelajaran langsung terhadap peningkatan kemampuan mengikat tali sepatu pada anak tunagrahita. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu anak tunagrahita dengan inisial G yang duduk di kelas XI SLBN A Citeureup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain penelitian A-B-A. Pengumpulan data dilakukan sebanyak tiga fase, yaitu fase baseline 1 (A1) dilakukan secara 4 sesi, intervensi (B) sebanyak 10 sesi, serta fase baseline 2 (A2) sebanyak 4 sesi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu tes perbuatan dengan analisis data dalam kondisi dan antar kondisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan persentase mean level pada setiap fase, yaitu pada fase baseline 1 (A1) 46,15%, fase intervensi (B) 94,35% dan pada fase baseline 2 (A2) 100%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa capaian sebenarnya melebihi hipotesis yang diajukan yaitu sebesar 50%. Subjek juga menunjukkan kemampuan mengikat tali sepatu secara mandiri tanpa bantuan saat akan berangkat ke sekolah. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh penggunaan media busy book melalui model pembelajaran langsung terhadap peningkatan kemampuan mengikat tali sepatu pada anak tunagrahita baik dari kemampuan menarik tali sepatu satu persatu, kemampuan menyamakan tali sepatu hingga rapi, kemampuan membuat simpul terbuka serta kemampuan mengencangkan tali sepatu. Children with intellectual disabilities often face difficulties in self-care tasks, such as tying shoelaces, which is an essential skill to support independence. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using a busy book through direct instruction learning model on improving shoelace tying skills in children with intellectual disabilities. The subject of this study is a student with intellectual disability, identified by the initial G, who is in grade XI at SLBN A Citeureup. The research method used is an experimental method with a Single Subject Research (SSR) design in an A-B-A format. Data collection was carried out in three phases: baseline 1 (A1) for 4 sessions, intervention (B) for 10 sessions, and baseline 2 (A2) for 4 sessions. The data collection technique used was a performance test, analyzed both within conditions and across conditions. The results showed an increase in the mean level percentage in each phase: baseline 1 (A1) at 46,15%, intervention (B) at 94,35%, and baseline 2 (A2) at 100%. The findings also showed that the actual achievement exceeded the proposed hypothesis of 50%. The subject also demonstrated the ability to tie shoelaces independently without assistance when preparing to go to school.
