Kompetensi ini penting untuk dikembangkan pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), karena menjadi dasar penting bagi peserta didik dalam memahami konsep ilmiah yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik melalui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Design Thinking. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas XI APHP 2 SMK Negeri 2 Cilaku, Cianjur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran menggunakan model Design Thinking dapat terlaksanakan dengan sangat baik.  Kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik pada aspek menjelaskan fenomena ilmiah mendapatkan kategori “baik” dengan kategori N-Gain “sedang”, aspek mengevaluasi dan merancang penyelidikan ilmiah mendapatkan kategori “baik”, serta aspek menginterpretasikan data dan bukti ilmiah mendapatkan kategori “sangat baik”.  Melalui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Design Thinking ini peserta didik belajar untuk menjelaskan, merancang, dan menginterpretasikan data dan bukti secara ilmiah.     Science literacy has urgency in learning and student competencies to face challenges in the 21st century. Science literacy in Vocational High Schools (SMK) has a role in shaping student competencies. Therefore, efforts can be made to develop students' science literacy, namely through the application of the Design Thinking learning model. This research aims to apply the Design Thinking Learning Model in developing science literacy in spice materials. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (PTK) in two cycles in class XI APHP 2 SMK Negeri 2 Cilaku, Cianjur. The results of this study showed that the application of the Design Thinking Learning Model received the "very good" category in cycles I and II. Students' science literacy skills in the aspect of explaining scientific phenomena get the "good" category with the "medium" N-Gain category, the aspect of evaluating and designing scientific investigations gets the "good" category, and the aspect of interpreting scientific data and evidence gets the "very good" category. Through the application of the Design Thinking Learning Model, students learn to explain, design, and interpret data and evidence scientifically.
