Dalam penelitian turut mempertimbangkan konsumsi energi fosil, tenaga kerja dan pembentukan modal tetap bruto sebagai variabel kontrol. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian yakni model Autoregressive Distributed Lag Panel (ARDL-Panel) dengan estimator Pooled Mean Group (PMG). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi energi terbarukan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi hanya dalam jangka panjang dan tidak signifikan pada jangka pendek. Temuan ini relevan dengan teori neoklasik Solow-Swan yang diturunkan melalui fungsi produksi Cobb-douglas, di mana konsumsi energi terbarukan dapat di jadikan sebagai bagian dari input modal tambahan yang berkontribusi terhadap proses produksi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi jangka panjang. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil uji robustness membukti bahwa model yang digunakan robust. This study aims to analyze the effect of renewable energy consumption on economic growth in developing Asian countries in the observation period 2000-2023. The study also considers fossil energy consumption, labor and gross fixed capital formation as control variables. The model used in the study is the Autoregressive Distributed Lag Panel (ARDL-Panel) model with the Pooled Mean Group (PMG) estimator. The results show that renewable energy consumption has a positive and significant effect on economic growth only in the long run and is not significant in the short run. This finding is relevant to the neoclassical Solow-Swan theory derived through the Cobb-Douglas production function, where renewable energy consumption can be made as part of additional capital inputs that contribute to the production process and long-term economic growth. In addition, based on the robustness test results, it proves that the model used is robust.
