Indikator kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan meliputi menyebutkan bilangan, menunjukkan lambang bilangan, mengurutkan lambang bilangan, mencocokkan jumlah gambar benda dengan lambang bilangan dan membedakan lambang bilangan. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Kemmis Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian dilakukan pada anak kelompok A1 yang berjumlah 17 orang di RA At-Taufiq Tasikmalaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan anak usia 4 – 5 tahun di RA At-Taufiq telah meningkat menggunakan media ular tangga. Pada pra tindakan kemampuan anak dalam mengenal lambang bilangan diperoleh 42.05% kemudian pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 64.70% dan pada siklus II berhasil memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan mencapai 81.76%. Dengan penggunaan media ular tangga anak dapat mengenal lambang bilangan melalui pengalaman bermain secara aktif dan bermakna bagi anak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media ular tangga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan anak usia 4 – 5 tahun di RA At-Taufiq Kota Tasikmalaya. The study aims to improve the ability to recognize number symbols of children aged 4-5 years through the use of snakes and ladders media at RA At-Taufiq, Tasikmalaya City. Indicators of the ability to recognize number symbols include mentioning numbers, showing number symbols, sequencing number symbols, matching the number of pictures of objects with number symbols and distinguishing number symbols. The study used the Classroom Action Research method with the Kemmis Mc. Taggart model which consists of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study was conducted on group A1 children totaling 17 people at RA At-Taufiq Tasikmalaya. Data were collected through observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used were qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The study was conducted for two cycles. The results showed that the ability to recognize number symbols of children aged 4-5 years at RA At-Taufiq had increased using snakes and ladders media. In the pre-action, the children's ability to recognize number symbols was obtained by 42.05% then in cycle I increased to 64.70% and in cycle II successfully met the success criteria reaching 81.76%. By using snakes and ladders media, children can recognize number symbols through active and meaningful playing experiences for children.
