Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pembentukan karakter yang dilakukan antara praktik di lapangan dan pendekatan teoretis yang selama ini belum banyak dieksplorasi secara kolaboratif. Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh teori Ki Hadjar Dewantara, Erikson, Bandura, dan Thorndike, yang secara umum menekankan bahwa pembentukan karakter anak sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan terdekat, terutama keluarga dan sekolah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain survei, yang melibatkan 33 guru dan 192 orang tua dari lima lembaga PAUD di Kecamatan Singaparna. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner, dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan inferensial untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya guru dan orang tua secara umum berada pada kategori upaya sedang, yang berarti bahwa keduanya telah mengimplementasikan budi pekerti yang cukup baik pada anak. Namun demikian, terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara upaya guru dan orang tua dalam implementasinya. Sehingga kolaborasi antara upaya guru dan orang tua memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dan positif, namun dengan kekuatan korelasi sedang (r = 0,464) yang menunjukkan adanya keselarasan, namun belum menunjukkan efektivitas dalam penerapannya. Cases of moral deviation among early childhood children in Tasikmalaya are considered alarming, particularly because most occur within the child’s home environment. This study aims to explore character development efforts by examining the connection between field practices and theoretical approaches, which have not yet been widely explored collaboratively. The theories by Ki Hadjar Dewantara, Erikson, Bandura, and Thorndike, was applied as the grand theories of this research, which emphasize that children's character formation is strongly infinity by their immediate environment, especially the family and school. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey design, involving 33 teachers and 192 parents from five early childhood education (PAUD) institutions in Singaparna District. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to test the hypotheses. The results showed that the efforts of both teachers and parents generally fall into the moderate category, indicating that both parties have made fairly good efforts in instilling moral values in children. However, there are significant differences between the efforts of teachers and parents in implementation.
