Namun, kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis siswa masih tergolong rendah. Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal yang dilakukan di kelas VB SDN 2 Ciseureuh, peneliti menemukan bahwa banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis karangan narasi. Siswa tampak kebingungan dalam merangkai kalimat yang padu dan belum mampu menyusun ide-ide secara runtut. Kesulitan tersebut diduga disebabkan oleh kurang optimalnya penggunaan model pembelajaran dan media yang sesuai dalam proses pembelajaran menulis. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menerapkan model Project Based Learning berbantuan media gambar berseri sebagai alternatif pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis karangan narasi siswa melalui penerapan model dan media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas sebagai solusi untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Berdasarkan hasil tindakan yang dilakukan selama dua siklus, terlihat adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan menulis narasi siswa. Siswa menjadi lebih percaya diri, terarah, dan tertarik dalam mengembangkan ide-ide mereka ke dalam bentuk tulisan. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar model Project Based Learning berbantuan media gambar berseri ini dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam pembelajaran menulis, khususnya menulis karangan narasi di tingkat sekolah dasar. ----- Writing skills are one of the important components in Indonesian language learning. However, the reality in the field shows that students' writing skills are still relatively low. Based on the results of preliminary observations conducted in class VB SDN 2 Ciseureuh, researchers found that many students had difficulty in writing narrative essays. Students seemed confused in stringing together coherent sentences and had not been able to organize ideas coherently. These difficulties are thought to be caused by the less than optimal use of learning models and appropriate media in the writing learning process. To overcome these problems, researchers applied the Project Based Learning model assisted by serialized picture media as a learning alternative. The purpose of this study was to improve students' narrative essay writing skills through the application of the model and media. This study used a Classroom Action Research approach as a solution to improve and enhance the quality of learning in the classroom. Based on the results of the actions carried out over two cycles, there was a significant improvement in students' narrative writing skills.
