Keterbatasan dalam kemampuan intelektual dan adaptasi sosial membuat proses pembelajaran bagi anak tunagrahita memerlukan pendekatan yang lebih inovatif, menyenangkan, dan disesuaikan dengan karakteristik mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas permainan Senam Ceria dalam meningkatkan aspek kognitif Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada anak berkebutuhan khusus, khususnya tunagrahita. Senam Ceria dipilih karena menggabungkan unsur gerakan fisik, ritme, dan stimulus visual-auditori yang dapat memicu keterlibatan aktif anak dalam proses berpikir, serta membantu meningkatkan fokus, ingatan, dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah sederhana. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen menggunakan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, yang termasuk dalamjenis penelitian pra-eksperimental. Subjek penelitian adalah tujuh orang anak tunagrahita di SLBN Cinta Asih Soreang yang dipilih melalui teknik total sampling. Untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari intervensi yang diberikan, dilakukan analisis data menggunakan uji Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (Sig.) = 0,00 yang lebih kecil dari a= 0,05. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa H diterima, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Artinya, permainan Senam Ceria berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan aspek kognitif Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada anak tunagrahita. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan aktif seperti Senam Ceria mampu merangsang proses berpikir anak tunagrahita, meningkatkan keterlibatan mereka dalam aktivitas belajar, serta secara nyata berdampak positif terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Limitations in intellectual abilities and social adaptation make the learning process for children with mental retardation require a more innovative, enjoyable approach, and adapted to their characteristics. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Senam Ceria game in improving the cognitive aspects ofHigher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in children with special needs, especially mental retardation. Senam Ceria was chosen because it combines elements ofphysical movement, rhythm, and visual? auditory stimuli that can trigger children's active involvement in the thinking process, as well as help improve focus, memory, and the ability to solve simple problems. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with an experimental approach using the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design, which is included in the type ofpre-experimental research. The subjects of the study were seven children with mental retardation at SLBN Cinta Asih Soreang who were selected through the total sampling technique. To determine the effectiveness of the intervention given, data analysis was carried out using the Paired Sample T-Test. The results of the analysis show that the significance value (Sig.) = 0.00 which is smaller than a = 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that Hr is accepted, which means that there is a significant difefrence between the pretest and posttest results. This means that the Senam Ceria game has a significant efefct on improving the cognitive aspects of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in mentally retarded children. These results indicate that a fun and active learning approach such as Senam Ceria is able to stimulate the thinking process ofmentally retarded children, increase their involvement in learning activities, and have a real positive impact on the development ofhigh-level thinking skills.
