Wet cupping therapy is a complementary treatment method that is considered effective in reducing pain, especially in individuals with low back pain Objectives: This study aims to analyze the difference in pain scale before and after wet cupping therapy. Methods: This study uses a quantitative design with a one-group pretest posttest method. The study population consisted of people with Low Back Pain in the last three months, with a total sample of 18 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on the Lameshow formula. The intensity of pain was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The intervention is carried out by an expert therapist with one wet cupping session lasting 15 to 20 minutes at points BL 23, BL25, BL26, BL40. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to assess the difference in pain levels before and after therapy. Results: The results showed a significant decrease in the pain scale, with a Z value of -3.767 and a P value of 0.001. A negative Z value indicates a reduction in pain after the intervention, while a P value, less than 0.05, indicates a significant difference. Conclusion: These findings suggest that wet cupping therapy is effective in reducing pain in patients with low back pain. This study supports wet cupping therapy as an alternative intervention to improve the quality of life of individuals suffering from low back pain. publisher: Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu Keperawatan Indonesia date: 2025-06-26 type: Thesis type: PeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: http://repository.upi.edu/134914/1/TA_ART_S_KPR_2101856_ART.pdf format: text language: id identifier: http://repository.upi.edu/134914/2/TA_ART_S_KPR_2101856_SK.pdf identifier: Yaritsha Auliya Putri Yudha, - and Suci Tuty Putri, - and Irma Darmawati, - (2025) EFFECTIVENESS OF CUPPING THERAPY IN REDUCING PAIN AMONG LOW BACK PAIN PATIENS.
